  1. Mrs. Duda looks fabulous. Very classy lady.
Mary looks nice too, but her coat looks big. A coat that long needs a belt, I think. It´s an odd length, especially if it just "hangs".
The gents look very well put together, trousers and coats fitting perfectly.

  2. Now there's a definite competition going on here between Princess Mary and Poland's first lady. I'm going to speak to "mirror, mirror on the wall" and I'll get back to you later with the winner.
It's going to be difficult for the mirror.

    1. I think you are making a “ competition” that isnot there!
Mary has to close her doulblebreasted coat to look well-dressed.
Frederik needs A longer coat for A formali occasion.
The first lady of Poland, we already know, is very elegant!

    2. I was particularly looking at Pr Frederik. Everything in his attitude and style refers to a sporty, relaxed man, who cares very little for a strict formal style. But this may well be appealing to the Danish population.

    5. The mirror gave its reply but it was in Polish. Didn't understand much but I think the mirror was saying that it is a draw. With this I fully agree. Two very elegant ladies, impeccably dressed and each giving much credit to their respective country. Bravo.

  3. Mrs. Duda always looks fabulous whenever she is out in public. I look forward to seeing her whenever she is going to make an appearance. She has fantastic style and poise, and her clothes always fit and suit her perfectly. Well done!

I like Marys light blue coat but I too think that it's a little loose and unstructured when worn buttoned up. Same comments apply to her longer hairstyle lately.

    1. Wow, not many of us get to see the "royals" up close -- thanks for telling us about it! I've got goosebumps!

  5. Mary's beautiful blue coat looks better when she wears the dark dress with it. Frederik needs to learn how to walk in a more dignified manner when in public on official engagements.

    1. I have noticed his walk as well which is rather charming. Its possible he may not be able to learn to change the way he walks due to an abnormal gait that could be the results of an accident or illness. However I think his walk gives him a boyish look along with his three quarter length suits which he seem to prefer. He is quite charming none the less!!!

  6. I like Mary's outfit in theory but agree with the other commentators that it just doesn't fit well. She has always struck me as someone who has her clothes tailored perfectly but recently something seems off on many of her outfits. I had attributed it to perhaps trying to keep up with trends that are not as flattering but am wondering if she has changed stylists. She has such a great figure that it is hard for anything to look bad on her but recently she doesn't look as pulled together for all of her appearances. DMP

  8. Quelle allure Madame Duda ; manteau délicatement ceinturé avec sa robe-tailleur qui lui va à merveille.. Mary porte un manteau d'un joli bleu clair mais un peu trop ample ; superbes ses boucles d'oreilles !!!

  9. Day 1 of the visit to Poland. I like CPss Mary's outfit, but I must say the First lady Mrs Duda looks stunning.

  10. Maybe Ill repeat myself. Mrs. Duda is very elegant. But there are more such elegant ladies in Central and Eastern Europe: they are not only the wives of the presidents, but also the presidents in office (the presidents of Croatia and the Slovak Republic). Unfortunately, many people in the West still ignore this part of Europe - of Europe Union! (Indeed, Mrs. Duda also is on the pages of this blog just because the Danish royal couple came to visit Poland. Otherwise you would never write about her.) Many ladies and women - politicians from Eastern and Central Europe are very inspiring in fashion. (Is it fashion blog, is not it?). They got into their positions by their own efforts. Sorry for my english. B.

    1. @B. Your English is very good. I do not agree. This blog is about Royals and not only fashion and I like it that way. L.

    2. This is a "royal" fashion forum and that's why the presidents of any countries or their wives are usually not featured unless they appear next to royalty. I think.

    3. Ad Ninius: It's a fashion blog above all. Yes, this blog has the word "royals" in the title, but currently presidents perform the same role as kings and queens: they are heads of their state, they represent their countries. Women - presidents, women - prime ministers: women who did more than marrying a prince or being born into a royal family. (Of course, royal women do charity, but thousands of other people do that without claiming applause,.)
Mrs. Duda is an example of the fact that women representing republics (also from the underestimated East) are an inspiration in fashion. And fashion is the point. It's my opinion.

  12. Prince Frederick seems less royal than his wife. I'm not sure if it is because of his natural disinterest in people or Mary's hunger for status. They are well matched in that Mary wants to be the lead royal during these events and Fred is fine with it. Quite the opposite of his fathers issues actually. I think Marys hair color is a bit warm for her.

  13. I think lady Duda is the better dressed one here. Her clothes fit better and well coordinated.
Princess Mary outfit is pretty but that coat..well, it is too big and busy with all those buttons. Its shapeless and doesn't do anything for her. That coat color washes her out makes her more pale.

  14. This is a lovely colour on Mary. It could have been a fitted one, but she didn’t look for a look to flatter her figure to the same level. It is a very elegant and classic (also very classy) outfit. Not a show off.

The president’s wife is well dressed indeed. I think she is a little too concerned with her looks - based on accounts from her homeland and Polish press. But she looks nice. /LA

CP Mary looks lovely, the coat is beautiful, but looks a tad too big on her. Love the beautiful skirt and top, accessories perfect. The polish first lady looks superb. Love her outfit she is really very stylish. I have noticed her before and always beautifully groomed.
