حذفI'm not saying a wide waist is "bad" or "good" thing. It just is what it is and Megan never did have a skinny waist even before Archie. Sometimes pregnancy changes aspects of your body and figure permanently and I think pregnancy has permanently changed her waist. I don't think it's "giving in to pressure" to make adjustments to your wardrobe accordingly. Megan needs a wardrobe with less belting and other aspects that makes her waistline look worse instead of accentuating it. The only other qualm I have with this look is that all the hair makes things look cluttered. Pulled back, or to the side so that the red poppy can be seen, would improve the look.

ردحذفI love the midnight blue coat and fully understand why she wore a black dress but those two colours together are not my favourite combination. All one colour would have been better and still very appropriate to the event.

حذفNavy and black can be worn together, old fashioned or not - they're just not my preferred combination without another colour, and even more so when they are both in the same tonal range, as in the outfit above. They look too similar, yet are noticeably not. Contrasting shades of dark blue and black, especially when combined with white can look fantastic.
حذفIf the dress was in the same lovely colour as the coat, it would not only provide a stylishly quiet tone-on-tone element to the outfit, but help to reduce attention from the parting of the coat at the hips. Just my opinion.

She really could use a nice trim. Not cut off several inches or anything that drastic but just attend to the ends and give it a little more shape. I like her with long hair but long hair demands attention.

ردحذفNot sure what it is with warm Winter coats and a low neck, it somehow does not look right, at least IMHO , a scarf or higher cut top would finish the look nicely.
She should get rid of her hair extensions. They have become very obvious as the color and texture of her own hair is different. She has a very pretty face and this hair detracts from her beauty.

It doesn't close properly, it seems bundled up, with the belt. I would have loved to have seen the beautiful coat she wore at Christmas last year,would have been a nice repeat. Bel x

I think this beautiful coat should be worn like on the model: closed. Because being partly open and partly closed simply ruins the style, it looks somehow unfinished/disarranged (not: "nonchalant", as it might have been planned). I prefer the original belt (also forwide waist) or at least another one, this one is too thin on the front side for this coat (it is different on the back, but not really better). Maybe this is why it sits too high. - Hair: I am sure she cares for her hair. But it looks disheveled. --- Pro: The headpiece is very pretty, really cute and elegant at the same time. Makeup is also very nice.

I like a fascinator but I'm not a fan of the coat, it seems too small or badly tied up.
ردحذفIndividually, they pieces are fine - and I love the color! But the hat and the coat don't seem to work together (hat seems a little too refined for the coat), and the belt and the coat don't work together either (belt looks for small for the coat - why not use the belt that comes with the coat?). Her hair is starting to overpower her look. Also, she needs to find boots that flatter her thinner calves, these appear too big and are bunching up - looking a little slouchy for the occasion.

I think the pieces separately are lovely but put together in this fashion, it looks very untidy, especially in contrast to the men and women (including Prince Harry) in well tailored uniforms who were also present for the ceremony. Like I said, lovely pieces, but probably not right for the occasion.

I look forward to seeing these pieces again, hopefully in a more balanced outfit.

If Duchess Meghan wore the same clothes as Ds Chatherine, we would think as well that she is younger and fresher and chicer. The personality makes the difference. Duchess Kate corresponds to the traditional image of women and Ds. Meghan is a feminist (women deserve the same level of dignity) and an artist.

Is it just me, or does the coat look like a belted bathrobe? It is a lovely color, but the shape, texture, and way she has it belted, does not suit her. Less belting, would look better on her, whether or not she is pregnant. If she had a coat made from the same texture of fabric her hat is made from, it would have looked nicer, in a swing style. Her hair looks 'too much', she should have pulled it back in a low bun, it takes over her features which are beautiful.

Oh, this is nice. Love the hat and gloves and generally like the coat. Colour and texture good but the belt prevents it from being entirely flattering. Interesting point from Anon 11:22 re lack of waist. The only real minus here for me is the untidy hair. Updo, semi updo or just tied back would look much better.

ردحذفThe Duchess looks lovely, I really like this coat. But it looks ill fitting. The gap in the front throws the look off balance. It looked much better on the model enclosed. The belt does not go with the coat. Boots are too bulky/sloppy, giving the outfit added heaviness. The hat is divine, love the colour, just enough netting over her face, with the subtle add-on of sparkles it looks lovely. The Duchess's makeup is perfect.

ردحذفThe colours go very well together. The fascinator is pretty too, I wish she had styled her hair differently though - she is drowning in hair and coat. I also think the outfit would have been better without these long boots.
