The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hosted a tea party at Kensington

On the morning of November 21, 2019, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with nominees and finalists of the Tusk Conservation Awards. The Duchess of Cambridge was scheduled to attend the event with her husband, but due to an undisclosed matter regarding their children, Prince William attended the event alone. The Tusk Awards honor those who project Africa’s wildlife. The Duke of Cambridge has been a patron of the Tusk charity, which supports conservation intervention in Africa, for over a decade. 1. Once again Catherine looks beautiful and the dress and colour suit her to a tee!!

  2. Kate, meh, another belted fit and flare dress. William needs more color in his wardrobe. The Masai warrior mixing tribal and westernized clothing. Dashing! Best dressed man in the group.

    1. Totally agree. meh, meh. The puffy top sleeves she has taken to wearing do not suit her they make her look scrawny and the belts both times just spoil the dress and it detracts from the button and loop closure.

    2. I agree 100% about the Masaai man. Very dashing indeed and best in the group!

  3. The dress is a lovely shade of green. Too bad William did not wear a more matching shirt color and tie. He looks a little messy around the neck area.

    1. Agree. Lovely shade of green that is perfect for Kate´s colouring.
Also agree about William´s look. He could venture more into other colours: grays, greens, browns, even dark reds. And his collar indeed looks sloppy. I don´t mind him going without a tie (a look I actually appreciate and find underrated), but it needs to be done right. No sloppy collar, no flimsy fabric, not open as wide as jacket or sweater will allow. The collar area needs to hold its shape and look tidy as it will be the focal point without a tie. Daniel managed better yesterday.

  6. This is a typical Kate-dress, and it suits her perfectly without being wow. Which is a good thing; she looks good, without preying for the attention.

  7. Catherine looks lovely, as always. The dress fits her perfectly, and the style has become her trademark for daytime events. I like the color but, in my opinion, the buttons on the skirt, in the same color, add nothing; they are barely noticeable. I agree that the man at the far right in the last picture looks fabulous!

  10. I think if it had been left exactly as it is on the model - bell cuffs, more flare in the skirt, and no contrasting belt - it would have looked tons better on DoC. But once again I also have to say, just some better jewelry accessories would do wonders for the overall look. She doesn't look bad. It's just the overall effect is, meh. I mean would it kill her to wear a simple gold or silver chain necklace, or a simple strain of white/creamy pearls, a brooch (that's not being worn simple because it relates or is from the charity in question)? It could even be costume jewelry - it could help boost the industry for Britain. Just something extra, even frivolous, to give the outfit some pop.

  11. Very nice dress the buttons are a nice contrast. Maybe minus the belt?

  12. Stunning look on the Duchess of Cambridge and dapper looking Masaai man.

  13. A bit more colour maybe, a joyful scarf?? Otherwise it looks to boring. And she should ditch that high eyebrow-raising. It looks over-exited and artificial.

  14. Love the photo with native dress in it. Is this a Masai traditional dress?

I love this dress. Elegant and the perfect fit. The button detail adds interest. The colour is pretty. Prefer the fabric belt this time, looks much nicer.
