The Countess of Wessex joined WMC Network

The Countess of Wessex joined the “Women Mediators across the Commonwealth” (WMC) network, as part of her ongoing work in the Women Peace and Security arena. WMC is a platform for the peer-to-peer exchange and learning of women mediators from across Commonwealth countries. The network is coordinated by Conciliation Resources and brings together about 50 women, from peace negotiators at a government level to women mediating at a grassroots level, working in their communities. 1. This is how I imagine a real lady, a member of the royal family. Her smile is warm and kind (not Holyvoodian). It is a pity that the photo cannot convey her voice: she is a good speaker and above all: she does not perform in front of the cameras, does not direct attention to herself from important things. She and her husband are doing an excellent job in the "Duke of Edinburgh Award" project aimed at students. (My students also participated in this project). I am not British (I am a Slovak) and I am surprised and dissapointed that the British media prefer those members of the royal family who present themselves mainly.
A silk blouse (as the model has) would be better suited to this skirt, but Sophie looks great anyway. PS: Sorry for mistakes in my English

    1. You may not be British but you did a fine job of summarizing the thoughts of many British people, well said. Countess Sophie is well-loved and a very busy lady for the Crown.

    4. I think that is very well said. Sophie is a fantastic example of what the monarchy should be. She is a very classy lady and others could use some lessi s from her.

    5. Totally agree. It must be areal comfort to the Queen to have the Countess and her husband going about their work quietly and unobtrusively without courting publicity or offending anyone. As said above, Sophie is natural and classy, this outfit being a typical example

  2. Jolie Sophie dans cette jupe en soie dont j'aime bien l'imprimé serpent ; un petit pull de couleur plus foncée harmonise le look !!!

  3. It looks comfortable and cosy. I don’t think it’s all that flattering - skirt too long, sweater too big, but C. Sophie seems to like bigger/longer/fuller clothes. (V.M.)

    1. I agree. While I understand it might be her preference to wear baggier fit clothes to me it's a bit of a shame. That skirt alone is $1,580 USD and for that price it would be nice if she got it hemmed so it complimented her proportions better.

  4. I agree with Anon 2:31 that a silk blouse would be an improvement over the sweater the Countess chose. Also, her skirt is more of a maxi rather than a midi as advertised, and I think it would look better on her if it were shortened a bit. On the positive side, her hair is very pretty and frames her face nicely. She is a natural beauty and does not require a lot of makeup. Best of all, her smile is infectious!

  5. She does a wonderful job. Always fully committed and very natural. No need to be a fashion trendsetter. Instead, actions speak words. She is a great asset for the British royal family. And I'm convinced that the Queen knows about her outstanding commitment and her wonderful approach towards people.

  7. Before using this website, I didn't know much about her. But she's become a favorite of mine, maybe not always fashion-wise, but thanks to her personality and the issues she backs.

  8. I prefer the hair in a tail with this outfit. Her hair open like this makes her very big from every angel. She is too short for wearing her hair like this, however from the front it suits her. Strange that she choose white bra or whatever it is. Black would have been much better.
