| On November 13, 2019, Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended the opening of the 1st Congress of the International Mukwege Chair. The Mukwege Chair aims to develop interdisciplinary research in the field of sexual violence against women and to bring together the knowledge on this issue from different partners and universities in Belgium and around the world. An international congress of the Mukwege Chair will be held each year at one of the partner universities. The first congress is being held at the University of Liège from November 13 to 15, 2019. |
Oh no, not a good look. There are so many well tailored pant suits, especially with a royal budget.... why on earth do Mathilde and Maxima favour these horrible Natan monstrosities....

ردحذفTotal miss for me, I'm afraid. The overall effect is not at all flattering--the trousers are tight across the stomach and thighs and the length of the jacket makes Mathilde look fat. It's just not a good look.

No middle waist line to worry over, and the pattern is spot on for keeping the line clear/clean, straight, which elongates her and the side part on the top, looks interesting and different than most. The outfit is appropriate for the occasion and she looks lovely.... JT

حذفI agree as well. Good idea, good quality fabric and tailoring, I think it would have worked even better if the top had been longer, possibly to below her hip line. I like it as it is anyway.

This is a tricky silhouette to wear unless you are pencil thin. I think a dress with this large collar would be more flattering than the top and trouser ensemble. (V.M.)

ردحذفIf you look at Natan's site I always see a lot of very smart simple clothes. In general Mathilde is making the right choices in his collection. In contrast to Máxima by the way. This top with this strange "fan" on the shoulder is unfortunately not the right choice.

The top is really nice. I suspect the pants are nice, too. But the top and the pants together are not nice.
