| On October 31, 2019, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako hosted the 4th "Kyoen-no-Gi" court banquet following the proclamation of Naruhito's accession to the throne. A total of about 690 people, including ambassadors to Japan and representatives of various sectors of society, such as kabuki performer Matsumoto Hakuo and Japanese Olympic Committee President Yasuhiro Yamashita, attended the event. |
The one thing about the Japanese royal women is they all look so dignified. And their clothing is exquisite. I admire that they are staying true to their culture and traditions and are resisting attempts to look like everyone else.

Masakó really branched out or has never been more alive since she has become the empress. What a lovely and classy woman. Her husband always supported her and it shows. She looks wonderful in her kimono.
