Her hair is tidy and looks great with the hat. The skirt might be a bit too tight but overall I think she looks very good. It’s an outfit with a lot of movement and she can carry it off. (V.M.)

No, no, no, horrible skirt, not to mention the shiny pantyhose.....who dreams up something like that, I wonder. Combined with the hat it looks like something out of the village theatre company wardrobe.

    1. LilyT.... Have to agree, the skirt looks totally off balance, and the shiny pantyhose, should have been left behind in the 90's. She's worn the hat before I believe, but the color does not really go well with the blouse with this long piece of material blowing/hanging in the wind in front. On the fence about the earrings, do not like they shoes, they add too much clutter in an already cluttered look. At least, the hair is pinned back today.... JT

    2. Agree! The hat reminds of a fedora on steroids, The hat is too tall and floppy. Not sure if any blouse/top would look good with this style of skirt, but certainly not this one with the side tie part hanging down, just too many crazy elements in this outfit. At least her hair is up.

Love the colorblocked shoes worn with the plaid skirt and jacket. Merlot/ burgundy is a beautiful color on Maxima. I don't think she needed to wear a hat for this event but Maxima loves her accessories.

  6. Very nice outfit. One of her better stying choices. I like the skirt, it is just a bit edgy.

  9. I don't know where to start. There is so much going on. I'm afraid I don't like this overall look very much at all, The skirt would be okay without the uneven hem, though it is tight. However, when you add the jacket worn over the shoulders AND the scarf on the blouse AND the hat, it's just too much

A pox on the designer of this skirt, and on all the designers with skirts of uneven hems.

  11. This is a NO for me, the amount of things going on makes gives this outfit a costume-like look, and I am not talking about her over the top style, but these pieces which individually are all distinctive should never be together. I can't opine about the jacket, but it looks boxy, the blouse has a lovely color, but it's somewhat unflattering just because she needs a much better brassiere, and the hanging tie should have never been paired with the hanging uneven hem of the skirt, that happens to be too tight, the only way it could be salvaged would be with boots, and a plain top, ( not shiny) . I thought that she had abandoned those lycra pantyhoses, but no...
The positives for me, are the fabric of the suit, and the very well coiffed hair, I also like the earrings even if they don't match anything at all.

    1. You said everything I was thinking when I saw this yesterday, but I just didn't have the energy...

  12. I don't mind at all uneven hems, but this one is not attractive, because of the fabrics? The shiny panthose (perhaps a bit less shiny) and the top are ok, but again the hat is excessive.

  14. The skirt just stumps me. Who on earth designed such an abomination?

  15. The skirt is a miss for me, combined with the shiny pantyhose not the best look
