  2. I did not care for the dress from the very first glance because it is much "too busy". And then I saw the designer -- Erdem -- my least favorite designer. I cannot understand his popularity at all. Not at all.

    1. Looking at the dress makes me dizzy. And the cap sleeves are horrible. For once, Victoria of Sweden is much better dressed than Mathilde.

Love the longer length of the dress and the shoes are marvelous. The cap sleeves might have been better as a 3/4 length sleeve. Overall, good look.

    1. oh sorry, longer sleeves would make the dress even more "buzy". The sleeves are perfectly fitting with dress. The dress suits Qn Mathilde perfectly, which is my view the most important. The hairstyle contributes in this case to a very nice look.

Very nice dress on Mathilde, I like it a lot! She always looks so engaged and genuinely interested in everything she does.

Both gents look quite dapper as well. Good cuts on their suits and proper fit on both.

Not a bad dress.Mathilde looks nice. The Romanian President is taller than the King, what no First Lady?.

The more I look at this dress, the more I love it. What a beautiful choice of an outfit.

Beautiful choice, but the sleeves could be longer.

Finally, a dress with perfect length! I had almost given up hope lol. Now, about those cap sleeves, I agree with Anon 11:04 that they would be more flattering if they were a bit longer. Otherwise this is a great look for Queen M. (V.M.)

  9. It's longer and more elegant, it fits well, it's not shiny and it's not Natan. So why do I not love this? Anon 11 04, you might have hit the nail on the head. There's something about the sleeves that are not quite right. Still, it IS an improvement on the short flared skirt and the shoes are great.

  10. I do like the longer length of this dress. She finally looks much better as to length, but when you compare her fit to the one shown on the model, her waist sits so much higher, almost up to her armpits. Is this how she is truly shaped? The colors are fine but the print looks like drapes or upholstery. Ugh! I agree about the look of the sleeves, that elbow or 3/4 length would look better.

  11. Imo giant flower prints -- especially when done in bright colors -- tend to overwhelm the woman who is wearing them, as well as to magnify the wearer's size and any "figure flaws" -- which means that most of us need to stay away from them. This dress is wearing Mathilde, rather than the other way around. The cap sleeves, too, are unfortunate: elbow-length or longer sleeves would have helped to bring the upper and lower portions of the dress into visual balance, avoiding the pear-shape effect seen here.

Leider kann ich dem Kleid so gar nichts abgewinnen. Da hilft auch Königin Mathildes wunderbares Lächeln nichts, sorry.
