  1. I like all the outfits here however I do feel that the Natan would be far more elegant if it were a little longer.

  2. I think we may allow Natan back from his desert Island for one day on trial. Matilde looks very elegant. Max please leave your fish scales whith ticker tape decorations behind in New York. You are not as yet an eighty five year old granny its frumpish and unflattering to say the least. Your other outfit is simply stunning. A beutifully cut white top and black skirt thats not too short the whole very flattereing and extremely elegant. Earings don't quite come off though.

  3. Illusion d’optique ! La reine Maxima n’a hélas pas coupé ses cheveux .

  4. I love Maximas earrings and her white pullover. They're creating a modern elegance.

    1. Katharina, I fully agree. But, did she had an "accident" with her tights/stockings?

Als ich die ersten zwei Fotos von Maxima sah, dachte ich: juchhu, sie hat sich mal die Haare geschnitten (aber es war nur eine optische Täuschung :)
Schöne Fotos aus New York. Tolle Outfits. Alle sehen super aus. Besonders Maximas Schwarz-Weiß-Ensemble.

  6. I like Maxima's dress. In the first picture it looked like she might have got her hair cut to shoulder length and I was so excited, but then in the pictures with the white top it looks its usual again. 🤔

  9. I actually like the Valentino, it's a little 70's , but the pleats, and bow gives it a very elegant vibe, and best of all the length is perfect for Máxima, she looks so much better when the knee is covered, and the hair is on point.
The black and white is perfection in my book, once again the skirt has the right length, funny it looks like she arrived with her hair down and at one point decided to put it in a pony tail, maybe tired of fighting the battle :-)
I am sorry but not ready to take Natan out of the island, I find Mathilde's dress rather unattractive. too shiny, and matronly, although it actually looks good on the model, only goes to prove that what looks good on them, doesn't always translate.

    1. Agree on all points. Thought exactly the same.
The colour of Mathilde's dress however, is great on her.

Those were my thoughts too. I think she makes that beautiful Valentino dress extra special by the way she wears and carries it (and not the dress wearing her), and her hairstyle gives it additional class and elegance. Best of all, she looks wonderful in it. Very well done.

  10. I do love Maximas from the 60ies inspired hairstyle, I really do. She is a complete different woman:-)! And I like the cut of the white top and the pencil skirt and the clutch, great fit and harmony here. The "earcuffs" are rather bombastic, but that's her. Mathilde in shiny Natan, she should consider another designer, at least from time to time. Liz

  13. Maxima looks great in the white top and skirt, not crazy about the earrings but that's the best I've seen her lately. Her hair looks good too. It be nice if cut at chin length.

I like all the outfits. Maxima sure stands out, lovely on both day's. If Valentino or Natan, both ladies look good so does Rania, lovely color. A Merkel is alway's constant with her black pant, only different color blazers.

  15. I don't think Maxima's Valentino is bad at all. It suits her quite nicely. It has interest in the print and the length is perfect for her. Where I think Maxima fails is with the tie. It needed to be tied at the neck or removed. I don't like it tied at necklace length. I wish her hair was the length it appears to be in the first picture. I think it would go a long way in improving the health of her hair. Her second outfit is amazing. her top looks gorgeous on her. I love it paired with the black skirt. Those shiny hose she wears will always bother me, and I would have preferred a more simple shoe, but I know Maxima needs that something extra. I think her earrings are too much, but again, Maxima.

Mathilde's Natan dress is so stiff looking. I am never going to understand the appeal of these designs. I think since this did appeal to Mathilde, she should have tried going with the coordinating outfit. It is more modern. She dresses older than she is, and the other top and skirt may have been a better option.

Both Mathilde and Maxima look stunning in Natan couture. Chapeau!

  18. Wow, Sheikha Moza absolutely devastates the competition, as is so often the case :-D. Everyone within a city block becomes a deer in the high wattage headlights of her glamor and confidence. However, I think Rania and Mathilde look quite lovely, and honorable mention for imagination goes to Maxima for sporting two such completely different -- and reasonably successful -- looks within a short span of time.

Quibbles: I agree that Mathilde's lovely and flattering dress does need to be a shade longer in order to achieve perfection, and Maxima's pretty Valentino is unbecomingly tight across the tummy -- a look not intended by the designer, judging from the photos of the model. Tailoring!!

The United Nations are sure filled to the rim, lots of members of Royal Houses and Politics and Business. The ladies all look fine Sheikha Moza really looks stunning, she is tall and slender everything looks great on her.Q Maxima sticks out the two outfits are spot on. Mathilda's dress looks a bit stiff but good.Angela Merkel is her usual self, nice color blazer.

  20. I love Maxima's gorgeous dress which I think is super flattering on her and the sweater and skirt are a perfect working outfit. Mathilde's dress is okay, but too short and too flared once again. If it was the same length as the skirt on the model she might ahve fgot away with it. Also like Rania's lovely elegant pink dress.

Not sure what's going on with Q. Maxima's hair. Is it straight, curled or a bump? Looks awful and fake. - Tia

It's a pity we do not see more of Sheikha Moza. She is elegance at its best. Superb posture, and as a mother of several children, has an enviable figure.
Quite a gathering, even though IMO with limited power at home, they are there to be there. MB

What about Queen Rania ? I can barely see her dress and could say she can do better.

  24. Sheikha Moza is sensational, breathtaking, hard to believe that she has seven children.
