So nice! This is a rare opportunity seeing the whole family together, and they certainly are a lovely looking family. The children have grown and are looking fine.
All four of them are dressed appropriately in their signature understated way. Louise looks perfectly summer-casual for a teen and James is a smartly dressed, handsome lad.

Wunderbare Fotos einer sympathischen Familie. Ich verspüre gar keine große Lust, mich über ihre Kleidung zu äußern, da der Besuch so privat wirkt.

  3. Viscount James is handsome child, however seems very shy or insecure regarding the manner he always holds his hands

always looking formal, wearing the same navy blue jacket.

    2. James looks good in the navy jacket and trousers. He must feel comfortable in these clothes because he wears them so often. He has never looked comfortable with cameras pointed at him, however. Some people just do not like that kind of attention. Can't blame him at all for that.

  4. The Countess is such a lovely lady, but recently she has been wearing these long dresses, and this one in particular, makes her look too matronly. The position of the belt looks too high and unnatural. I would rather see her in trousers and blouses and tops with jackets. This wonderful casual family event would have been a good day to have worn her hair down.

The countess may just be an “up” hair girl. She has her hair up with a clip hardly formal.

    2. I wouldn't wear my hair down in 30+ degrees.

  5. She's what, 50? If so, she can look a bit matronly.

    1. I believe she is 54 and I could not disagree with you more. A woman turning 50 is no excuse for looking matronly. That is simply giving up.

Yes, she is 54. She was born on January 20, 1965. There are times when Sophie is quite stylish and other times like today she opts for something casual, comfortable, and fuller. It may not be her best look, but I do not think it is bad either.

I agree that all of them look very nice, and it is good to see that James seems to be enjoying himself. He often seems forlorn, like he'd rather be somewhere else.

Nice to see the whole family Wessex,in one place.Mother and daughter look lovely. Lady Louise can raid her mothers wardrobe she is just her height. Nice to see Vice count James smile this is very rare, normally he looks like he is about to cry, he must be very shy,or he don't like cameras, don't blame him one bit. Hope they all had a nice time together.

What a well dressed and oh-so British looking family. Smart yet understated. Prince Edward and James are both dapper and Lady Louise and Sophie both look very elegant and summery

  11. The visit seems to have been not an overly formal occasion, so I don't get why James, Viscount Severn, had to wear a blazer. He looks a tad overdressed with it, imho. Same applies to his dad, the Earl. He could have done without the tie and handkerchief in his breast pocket. After all, it's summer, all are on holidays, which certainly makes for a more casual look, especially on the lads.

It's the British way, spanning centuries, and there's nothing wrong with it.
We lived in a colony under British rule and accordingly adopted many such personal customs within our local community during those decades and after. My father tended his rose garden in a tie, sweater and straw hat regardless of the weather, and wore his blue blazer, striped tie and sometimes light coloured trousers to formal and informal events without being out of place. It's not hard on my eyes to see men dressed like this and in fact looks quite polished.

Love to see the Wessex family out and about, but personally I don´t like their outfits today. All can do by far a lot better, especially the hairstyle is unflattering for Lady Louise and her brother and so the clothes, no young style recognisable. They are Teens and they are dressed like mothers darlings´.

  14. They all look good - I like this quiet and discreet family. However, given it was well into the thirties yesterday all of them minus Lady Louise are making me feel hot.

Louise's skirt looks very pretty and colorful and I like she wore it with simple white blouse. Very summery and cool look. Not very fond of her mother's look. Too dark for the warm summer day.
