| On July 18, 2019, Queen Silvia of Sweden and Princesss Madeleine of Sweden attended Anki Wallenberg's funeral service, held at Dalarö church in Haninge south-east of Stockholm, Sweden. Anki Wallenberg (68) died in a sailing accident on the lake Geneva of Switzerland. Anki Wallenberg had been a friend of the Swedish royal family since the 1970s and was, among other things, an important contact for Princess Madeleine when she moved to London in the early 2000s. |
What a sweet idea to celebrate the life rather than the death. There's something beautiful and heavenly in light clothes vs black clothes.

حذفWhite/light colors are very unexpected to see at the funeral but I like it. Black can be gloomy but as the meaning of white is purity, innocence, wholeness and completion, then light colors are perfect to celebrate someone's life.
Both royal ladies look very lovely. Beautiful outfits.
In some traditions white is the color of mourning, not black. And white is also the color of life and hope.

ردحذفIn many Asian cultures, it's traditional to wear white at funerals. For instance, in Hindu culture, white symbolizes purity and is the colour of mourning.
