Queen Rania of Jordan visited Al-Salt city in Balqa Governorate

On July 28, 2019, Queen Rania of Jordan visited Al-Salt city, the capital of Balqa Governorate in Jordan. The Queen met with a group of young Jordanian men and women from Al Salt during a visit to Al Balqa’ governorate, and learned about their work in the local community. The Queen also met manager of a traditional a guesthouse that employs local women. The Queen then walked along Al Khader Street and visited Saint George Church (Kanisa Al Khader), which was built in 1682 and renovated in 2004 by Al Salt’s Christian and Muslim communities.
