Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful dress on Queen Mathilde! Wonderful fit! Secret: she’s wearing the belt lower, thus extending her torso. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Sure. Eddy Merckx still is the most successfull cyclist in history ever. With 525 victorys in road races (five times winner of the Tour de France, five times winner of the Giro d'Italia, three times world champion in roadcycling) he still stands a class of it's own. By the way: I don't like that dress. The fabric is weird and the fitting is not very well. Makes Mathilde look way to formal for such a hot summers day.

It's not the 50th Anniversary of the Tour de France - le Tour was born in 1903, only interrupted during WW I + II. It was 50 years ago in 1969 when Eddy Merckx won the Tour de France for the first time. So this is another reason why the Grand Depart will be held in Brussels today.

  11. same cut and silhouette as always, the belt never helps her figure, but she seem to be very fond of this particular accessory. The fabric is jus horrific.

  13. Same as with Maxima earlier in the week... great colour but horrid shiny fabric. Queen looks great, love her hair but not the best dress she’s worn.

    1. Shiny fabric can be nice, to judge on case by case; for me not this one.

What is the fabric of the Queen’s dress? Looks like raw silk.
