It is very nice for CPss Elisabeth to do a joint visit to Africa, with her mother the Queen.I hope they got everything accomplished in Kenya .Some of the pics of Elisabeth and the cute little baby girl are a delight to see. The outfit's were all easy dressing and very nice.Hope we'll see the CPss do more engagement for the Crown.

European contries have nearly nothing to do there. Actually and since years the involved contries are USA, Russia and China.

You mean those countries took advantage of cheap labor and whatever mineral resources were left. And highly militarized all fractions so that they can sell their weapons, right? I am sure that’s what you meant.

And to paint with such a broad brush ‘European countries’ is a deeply ignorant approach. Do you even know how many countries are in Europe? How many of those ever had colonies in Africa? How long ago was that? Was Belgium even a monarchy at the time? How many generations have passed since? And while we are at it, how about the practices employed when colonizing the Americas? Should ‘European countries’ be banned from there too?

Writing all this whilst being fully aware this is totally NOT the point of this blog. But if such comments like the ones above were published, this is exactly what the site administration should prevent. Hopefully next time that won’t happen. And also if the first sets of comments were published, so should be the rebuttals.

Back to royal fashion, Mathilde is so wonderfully down to earth. She remains my favourite royal, genuine and effective, warm and engaging. I have all the reasons to believe that Elisabeth and all her children will follow suit. This reflects in her sartorial choices as well. She has an artistic side (as evidenced by her strong support of arts like no other queen currently reigning). That influences her fashion and I enjoy that very much. There is flair and character without too much showiness about her looks that make her my favourite dresser as well.

I´m grateful for your answer. At University I went for half a year to a seminar about the main topic: Proxy war. In my initial Reply (↑) it is not an "over-responsible" know-it-all attitude but a cautious confrontation of persons. Very sorry about my English.

  7. Elizabeth was grown so much. She made a great job during trip.It must be great and useful experience for her, introduction to her future role as a adult member of royal family and next as a queen.
I wish she wore more elegant shoes as ballerinas than trainers but I understand her choice to fell comfortable.

Elegant shoes for a teenage girl on a working visit to a school on sandy grounds in Africa? Really?
