Ein schönes, klassisches Outfit. Ich liebe es. Besonders die Farbkombinationen gelb-sand-rosé.

I too really like this outfit - style, colours, everything - and it really looks good on her.
She knows how to wear these unusual pieces, and she carries herself and the clothes very well.

  3. Not sure why I like this but I do. Very elegant look. N There is a very smart teal coloured dress in the photo outside the City Hall but not sure why the lady in pyjamas chose that as an outfit to meet the Dutch monarchs.

Q Maxima looks good in every color outfit. This outfit looks good the only thing I don't like is the top looks like a maternity top, at least to me.

Pardon me for asking but could you please explain to me what is a 'maternity top'?
I have seen countless pregnant women of close acquaintance throughout the past 20+ years (family, friends and others) who live in different parts of the world but none of them wore anything similar to what Maxima is wearing when they were pregnant as far as I recall. They all seemed to wear normal clothes, sometimes of a bigger size, but not always. So I'm a bit baffled by the term you used. Thank you in advance.

    2. For the greater part of the 20th century that is what a maternity top looked like. Fashions change. Now, this style is just another top.

  6. What a lovely outfit -- beautiful color, perfect proportions. The length of the skirt is absolutely spot-on. Too bad that the fabric wrinkles, but that can't always be helped. The colors that Maxima has chosen for this visit to Ireland have been really outstanding for their variety and beauty.

Anon 6/15 5;15 AM.When I called it a Maternity top, because it stick out from the body. I seem to be of the older generation, when it was woren this way. It was nothing bad intended, with my remark.

Thank you for your explanation. I appreciate it. No offence was taken nor intended. I was just unfamiliar with the term and when I googled it, I saw a variety of styles but not quite the same as Maxima's top so I was curious. I think it is less common these days as you say. Thank you again.
