  2. The Empress looks magnificent in that shade of blue, classic, but the fringe on the lapels gives the suit just that extra edge in style. She keeps to the basics but with nice modifications. Stunning!! The daughters are so cute and dressed in beautiful tailored style; but just once I would love to see what they wear for casual clothing.

A few years back there was a couple of photos of the Empress dressed casually in one of the royal family's private gardens at one of their summer retreats. She looked very nice and very western. Maybe we will get to see the family there again this year.

The Empress looks very nice (this shade of blue is her color) but I have to say, I'm getting a little tired of the Charlie Chaplin bolo hats. They are probably very comfortable (and maybe even a "security blanket" for her) but, enough already. A little verity, please, your Imperial Majesty.

I am happy for the new empress. Masako seems to enjoy her new position so much. She is such a lovely modern empress. Love her outfit.

I love the photos where she’s holding the umbrella. Her smile is so warm and genuine. I think she will always have a simple, elegant style, and it suits her very well. (V.M.)

Empress Masako, always classy and elegant, so are the other Pss. the colors are always pastel, there is really no surprise. I wish that there would be sometimes strong colors.

She looks Uber polished these days. Terrifically elegant in a very restrained way. And she exudes confidence.

The Akishino family didn't attend the award ceremony. They joined the tea party for the winners at the Imperial Palace.
