  1. Masako looks really lovely in this gorgeous suit, and I love her muted pink lipstick. But I hope to see a bit of variety in her hats as time goes on.

    1. Yes, perhaps she can evolve her hat style into something more like a boater sitting a little higher on her forehead and not so tall. I remember the previous empress had a hat style that was consistent. Here’s hoping that Masako will tweet hers just a little before she settles on her style.

  2. I have to wonder if the hat style offers her some comfort and security. That's my guess. Though the photo with the hat off really highlights her calm beauty.

Great look for Empress Masako. I wish she wear a larger hat ,she would look great in it. I also must say she seems so much more relaxed than in the past. I am very happy for her.

      I agree as well.
However perhaps she is taking things in small steps and does not want to change the style traditions too quickly. I'm fine with that, as she is a lovely person no matter what she wears. Also she has a lot to cope with personally in this new role, so I'm happy to be patient and wait.

Lovely Masako. Structured suits seem to be her style and it works nicely.

I cannot wait for them to travel for a State visit to another country and be guests of another monarchy or presidency. It will be so nice to see them enjoying another culture's royal traditions with as rich a history as their own. They are a very nice couple.
