Hmm,I find the dress looks a bit heavy and wintery …… it was 31'C in Copenhagen yesterrday.

Nice as such, but that´s an evening dress in my world. Maybe this was in the evening and maybe it was more of a reception than a business council meeting, but all the other ladies have day dresses and men are in day suits wearing name tags as in a meeting, so Mary´s dress stands out as rather festive for the occasion.
I agree that her shoes look painful, but her shoes often do. Heels insanely high.

  6. It looks like Mary has had the opening down the back altered to reveal less skin, bringing it more into the realm of daytime wear, rather than cocktail wear. It is a beautiful garment, and looks lovely on her.

    1. Really? I think it looks lovely on her. But I'm such a sucker for the darker pink/fuchsia shades. Mary's one of my very favorite royals. She's a hard worker and a good mother, from what I've seen. She appears to have a great relationship with her husband's family - always important, even if one isn't royal. She rarely puts a toe out of line, fashion or otherwise. She's glamorous and classy. In short, she wasn't born into the life, but she has become a true role model for how to be royal.

It's her color, she looks fabulous! I don't think it's cocktail wear even with slit in the back.
