British royal family attended Ladies Day of Royal Ascot 2019

On June 20, 2019, Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Anne, The Countess of Wessex, Princess Eugenie, Zara Tindall and Autumn Phillips attended the third day of Royal Ascot 2019 held at Ascot Racecourse. The third day of Royal Ascot is known as Ladies Day. Ladies Day of Royal Ascot is considered one of the most glamorous events in the five day racing calender of Royal Ascot. 1. Love Princess Anne's well fitting coat and gorgeous hat. Think she may be my pick of the day. Also very taken with Princess Eugenie's look, both dress and hat--it's a great colour for her. Zara Tindall and Autumn Phillips are okay--Zara's outfit seems a little tight though the hat is nice and I can't see a full scale photo of Autumn. I don't think the Queen's outfit is anywhere near as nice as the previous two days and while the Countess of Wessex's outfit again is a nice colour--lots of colour coordination for green/teal shades today---in the photo shown, it looks unflattering to say the least.

    1. Agree, Sophie should put that jumpsuit in the back of her wardrobe. Very unflattering and heavy for spring/summer.

Queen Elizabeth's outfit is beautiful;I like the detail around the neck line the hat matches it nicely. Princess Anne looks very feminine. Autumn is wearing a pretty dress and hat. Princess Eugenie's outfit looks good but I don't like the colour. Sophie's outfit would be nice if the material was a little softer; I like the hat.

    1. For me the winner today is Princess Eugenie. I like the colour, and I think it is a great colour for her. She is such a beautiful and nice pincess, and I like both the dress and the hat today. Who is the lady siting next to her?

Never thought I'd say this but Princess Anne for the win today. Princess Eugenie perfect as well.
Both of them smart and well fitted.

In my opinion, the hat of the queen is phantastic. The feather details, the colour and the flower trim, combinded with the plissee, very beautiful at all.

  5. Was immediately struck by the detail around the Queen's neckline, which is a different look for her and very attractive. I think Eugenie looks great, would even-up the hemline but that is a quibble. Again, she really does best, imo, with clean lines in solid colors or colorblock, and this vibrant dark teal is beautiful on her. Anne's soft, pretty color and lovely matching hat are delightful.

Once in a while Sophie seems tempted to break out of her sartorial comfort zone -- and it never works.

Queen Elizabeth in the dove grey and gold/yellow is quite nice, love those two colors together. Anne's hat is perfect, large but not obnoxiously so. Eugenie is pretty in this shade of green, but her hat just reminds me of snakeskin, ugh. Zara's hat is cute but her dress is too tight. Sophie is pretty in blue, but the style is just not good for her, nice hat tho.

Yikes! Sophie’s jumpsuit is dreadful. The fabric looks so stiff it’s hard to imagine what body shape it would actually flatter. Even the hat is a miss for me. It looks like a big blue lump on her head. I usually like her choices but this one should have stayed at the store.
The other ladies look very nice, with a special mention to Princess Anne for A NEW OUTFIT! It’s fabulous on her. (VM)

The Queen looks lovely as always.Pss Anne is a surprise very nice today. So are the younger Generation, but Sophie's blue pantsuit is horrible.

  10. I love Eugenie's look today. The color looks beautiful on her, and looks striking with her hair. The silhouette of the dress is very flattering to her figure. Her hat is very nice--not over the top or too large. Wonderful! Anne looks terrific. Nothing too dated here. Lovely! I like the color of Zara's dress, but not the dress itself. It is too short and too tight. Sophie's jumpsuit is a little off to me. The fabric appears to be very heavy for a jumpsuit. I wish there was more movement in the fabric.

    1. Agree with you. One of the best outcomings from Eugenie really.

But I like also the soft look of the Queen today.

I don't see how is Zara's dress too tight or too short. Again women have legs, it's OK to see knees and thighs.

Zara - very nice outfit, great colour! very nice hat, too
Eugenie - wonderful! this dress has a great colour and shape, very lovely! And I'm ok with the hat.

  13. Sorry, I forgot Autmn, she looks very lovely in this flowered dress. really nice pattern.

I'm still over the moon about Anne. That outfit is sooo lovely on her. The colour is sooo nice. I think, in that pic where she smiles and gestures with her hands she looks a lot like her mom.
I think, another hairstyle and maybe some dyed hair would do a lot for her..

Although not well captured in these pictures, best dressed in my opinion was Autumn. Her hat and dress were both exquisite and fit her personality perfectly. Together the two custom pieces elevated her look to a level of refinement that the rest are lacking.
