A lovely business style dress, very appropriate to the occasion and Maxima wears it well.
I'm glad that beside being a Queen and attending to all the nationalistic duties that come with that role, that she is still able to participate in other global issues that are associated/related with her career and interests before she became queen. It is a perfect match to bring her profile to highlight important issues affecting the world, and also to be a role model to other women and young girls particularly in developing countries who might desire a business career. Rania and Mary also do this very well.

Completely agree. Letizia, Victoria, Mette, they’re all cool too.
      What about Catherine and Megan??

Totally agree. She and Mary are very good role models. I think they are kind of royals we need in modern world. Royals who just want to look colourful and say as little as possible are so over.

Well, Maxima is sure a busy lady. This D&G dress looks stunning. It is simple but classic.

  3. Beautiful dress and isn't it great that as well as being Queen, Maxima is able to go and speak in her own right at IMF and similar meetings. A real inspiration for young girls to see her involved in something so important and with so much potential impact.

  4. Al vestido le falta unas pulgadas extras para que quede a su medida.

    1. Yes, I agree. There is not much to distract the eye from that detail.

  5. I agree with all the comments made previous to mine about her work ethic and her example to young women and girls. BUT, as beautiful as this dress ifs, it no longer fits her. I can see the outline of all her underwear and all the little bulges that we get. I could care less about a few wrinkles in the dress or the face for that matter but she has a choice about the size of the dress or perhaps the undergarments.
Maxima is one of my favorites and I hate to see her going from the diplomatic gala a couple of days ago to this. And the hair.....

    1. I noticed the same thing about the fit. I am thrilled that she is wearing a simple dress, and even better, that it is not Natan. Sadly, it is too tight. Spanx might have saved the day, but she really should have invested in a new but similar dress that fit her. She is so much better off in classic sillouettes.

    2. I agree recycling clothes fine if still fitting.
I also appreciate that she is able to keep her business skills.
But I don't understand the last sentence and the link with the diplomatic gala dinner. Do you mean that she is overworking?

    3. Sorry I was not clearer. I was comparing only how she looked at the 2 events. Although the nature of the 2 events are totally different she was almost flawless at the gala and almost a mess at this meeting. I’m sure she might be jet lagged, busy, etc., but I am only looking at photos and judging from them.

    4. The hair is not so bad here, is it?

Agree with you Hero. The dress is too tight. The hair is her usual unhealthy messy style.

    7. I agree with Coralie, the hair here is not so bad; she adopted a very sharp layering or thinning of her hair, a quite modern style. That is her choice, so I disagree with comments referring to unhealthy hair.

The red color is good for Maxima, but I do agree with the comments on the ill-fitting of this dress and the comments regarding her hair looking unhealthy. The ends are very split and that is not healthy looking.

She looks very business like and genuinely dress. A red dress always works, no exception here.

Demasiado ajustado.
