  1. Usually Camilla is perfectly “turned out” and today she is except for the accessories or perhaps I am seeing grey in the dress where there is brown? I expect fellow posters to help on this one.

Busy Dss. Love the coat and dress, but not so much the hat.

  4. Although the colors are within the same family hue, the final result is a mismatch of tones and textures,
This coat with the delicate raised detail calls for a plain dress, that won't compete with it. The boots, which I love are too sporty for the coat, but on the same line of the hat and neither is a good complement. IMO the outfit is too busy.

  5. Camilla dresses very well I must say. Always tasteful, always flattering, always appropriate. She sticks to what works for her, so no crazy experiments or overly trendy outfits, but she usually adds just enough interest so it doesn´t get boring. I commend her.

  7. I don't think any of these pieces work together. The print on the dress dictates a more plain coat. She has been wearing her black boots so much, I think it is an odd time to choose these boots. They are not right with this dress at all. They have a worn look on the toes, which is really cute, but are too casual with the overall feel I think she was going for. I also see taupe in her dress, so I am not at all sure about introducing brown--but my colors might not be showing up properly. As for that hat, it is just out of place. It is a heavy hat mixed in with the rest of the mismatched pieces.

    1. All very well said! I agree. Like the coat a lot but not in this combination.

There is nothing more trademark British aristocratic than racing and wearing mismatched clothes each of which are of the highest quality and craftsmanship.

  12. What interesting detailing on her coat. I looked as closely as my computer allows and the round things appear to be hundreds of tiny buttons. They could be sequins, but I doubt that. And to have that inset "bib" in the front is tricky, but she has that detail on other clothes, too. Wouldn't that coat be lovely in a fawn beige, instead of white, with the accessories she chose?
