King Harald and Queen Sonja hosted a reception at Royal Palace

Yesterday, on January 31, 2019, King Harald and Queen Sonja hosted a reception at the Royal Palace for recipients of the King’s Medal of Merit. The King's Medal of Merit (Kongens fortjenstmedalje) is a Norwegian award. It was instituted in 1908 to reward meritorious achievements in the fields of art, science, business, and public service.

  2. The queen's dress is a lovely color for her and her jewelry and shoes add interest to the picture. But the peplum at her waist seems to sit too high above her waist and looks uncomfortably snug. Usually the fit of her clothing is impeccable so this seems an odd mistake for her.

  4. This is a miss for me. The fit is odd. Also the hose/tights are tinted the same color. The shoes have the lavender. Just too much. Now the Barney song is stuck in my head.
