  1. Just add a dog collar and she could be a priest.

The dress is beautifully tailored and she wears it extremely well but personally, I think it's a strange choice for a sunny day of celebration. It would look less ecclesiastical or widow's weeds if she wore jewellery or added some colour somewhere - a pashmina, a clutch...

Nice to see Jacques on the balcony with his parents, they seem more relaxed here. I'm guessing that Gabriella is ill as she hasn't appeared at either celebration for this festival.

    1. Agree, it looks like a priest's cassock. Strange choice.

    2. Actually (and no disrespect intended) the clergy here are far more festively dressed.

  3. This is a no for me , and I LOVE!! Black, but this looks like a habit, somber and boring. Nothing against minimalism, Meghan and Letizia do it perfectly, but she got it wrong on this one IMHO

    2. Hey, that's not nice, Jolanta...

I think the minimalistic black outfit generally suits her well, but just until the waist. A long coat like that looks tough, even with the sexy boots underneath. But no reason for those comments.
I am sure they are going strong together as a couple, especially with the kids (although the tales are never ending). Maybe she is just not a very outgoing-, always grinning fake person.

    3. Oh for goodness sake - someone's having a sense of humour failure.

And what some people seem to consider fake is considered good manners by others. If she had been utterly unsmiling from the time she first appeared on the scene then I could believe she's not naturally smiley but that wasn't the case. Something has changed - who knows what? But I really don't think expecting her to crack a "fake" smile at her once in a blue moon engagements is asking too much.

    1. Royalty fan

Anne-Minni, she looks sad from since their wedding day, and how long ago was that? I wonder how long can they, can she pretend, the marriage is all plain sailing?

  7. Maybe it is a custom to wear all black and to be very sad looking. I don't really know.
And if it is it is strange to wear boots with such a dress.
