Queen Elizabeth II visits the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn

On December 13, 2018, Queen Elizabeth II visited the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn in London. During the visit Her Majesty was accompanied by The Duke of York – who was introduced as a Royal Bencher in 2012. The Queen officially opened the new Ashworth Centre and re-opened the recently renovated Great Hall at The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. The Archives of Lincoln's Inn include the longest-running record series of any of the four Inns of Court: the Black Books, which start in 1422.
During the visit Queen Elizabeth was accompanied by Prince Andrew, Duke of York. Queen officially opened the new Ashworth Centre.

    Her Majesty bright and cheery as ever. Hat coat and dress very stylish. Prince Andrew is a good choice to support Her Majesty on official occasions.

    Is it only me or does she look happier with Andrew alongside her ? He’s not very popular but has over the years done lots lots for young entrepreneurs, giving them a platform with pitch@palace.

    Doesn't it just brighten your day to see that smile. I see HM in her trademark single coloured coat and matching hat, with that enthusiastic smile, and I know all is well!

    She really is amazing lady but I'm not crazy about that endless row of loud, bright colour coats and hats. Boring.

      I am not neither! I would above all plead in favour of more simple hats, eg no feathers or such..., and yes softer colours. Boring is appropriate word.

      I disagree. I like her bright colours and think they add vibrancy to her appearance. Duller, softer colours would be stereotypical of a 92yo granny type of person.. and we all know she is so much more than that. She does wear darker coloured coats but to more private events like Sunday church. Besides, we know she wears bright colours to stand out and make her presence known, whether in a crowd of 2 or 2 thousand. Same goes for her hats - playful and a bit modern, and much better now than they used to be.
