    1. And it's odd that it's an evening with people from the fashion world...

  3. Always elegant but I would have liked something more glam for a Buckingham palace reception.

  6. I have this skirt! It’s the Temperley London Jupiter skirt. The pictures don’t do it justice. There are shimmering gold threads in the motifs, very fun to wear.

  7. Als ik zo dik was zou ik mijn schouder toch maar verbergen, maar ja, mode is mode voor dun en dik.

    2. That's harsh! I agree that the woman with the bare shoulder is not slim, but how would it be for you if someone would say something like this about you?

    3. More body shaming...picking apart a woman's body is never ok. Why was it necessary to mention her? She is a beautiful woman. Focus your attention on what Sophie is wearing, without commenting on perceived body flaws.

Body shaming and snide comments are not helpful especially from one woman to another. We should be better encouragers. That said, when a woman is this size she is not making healthy choices. A friend (not a stranger) should privately express concern to her for her heart health as well as the many cancer risks she could be in for.

  8. I think she looks really nice and I like the skirt.
The only point I would make is that her make-up looks quite heavy/ dark in some pictures.

  10. Isn’t it funny when a royal dresses better than the Fashion “royalty”? Suzy Menkes needs to leave that hairstyle

  11. Glad you posted this engagement of Sophie. Many times it is hard to find pictures of her engagements. I really like this outfit. I usually do not care for the longer skirt, but it works here with the longer turtleneck. Thank you Anon 10:14 for the information regarding the gold threads in the skirt. I bet it is really pretty.

  12. I am confused by her outfit - turtleneck at a reception where she is hosting (it's not like she was coming from the cold outside)? I don't think that counts as a fashion statement. And the skirt may be Temperley, but it still doesn't make it remarkable nor interesting. In combination with the turtle neck - it's not even a good casual Friday look. Sometimes I just believe these royal ladies try too hard - whether it is so that they look more "approachable" or to show they can re-wear; whatever it was that compelled Sophie to show up like this - it's a complete miss for me. Disappointing, I usually like her style a lot. I guess we all have our misses.

  13. Gilberte Lambrechts debe ser Miss Universo. Hace unos días atacaba a Letizia por delgada y hoy a esta Sra rubia por gorda. Qué vergüenza.

  14. I don’t care for the skirt Sophie is wearing . Add that turtleneck and I wonder what kind of fashion this event is about. I won’t comment on the some of the other ladies outfits....
