Duchess Maria Teresa and King Willem-Alexander attended a symposium in The Hague

On November 28, 2018, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg attended the symposium of The Dr. Denis Mukwege Foundation at the Nieuwe Kerk in The Hague. The Dr. Denis Mukwege Foundation is an international human rights organisation, dedicated to end wartime sexual violence worldwide. Dr. Denis Mukwege is a Congolese gynecologist and activist who worked with victims of sexual violence. He fights worldwide against the use of rape as a weapon of war. He will receive the Nobel Peace Prize this year together with the Iraqi activist Nadia Murad. Mukwege received the Four Freedoms Award in 2016.
