This is how a royal lady wears her hair up, elegant and classy with nothing hanging down. Very pretty dress, nice detailing. Mary representing Denmark so well!

    3. Of course I totally agree, however this is not why other hair up styles, more trendy maybe, should be rejected.

Mary looks lovely and elegant as always. She looks very slim and trim in this beautiful outfit.
I notice that she has the same braided hair detail as one of the children did for the horse riding event over the weekend. I love that she keeps it real.

  7. Mary looks absolutely stylish - as usual. What a pity that there is no italian elegance at all concerning the female part of the hosts ... :-)

    1. An example of how much the correct fashion choices can make all the difference. Mary's dress is well fitting, and she is wearing the perfect high heeled, pointed toe shoe to give her a long lean look. The result is a polished and chic.

Unfortunately, her Italian counterpart is wearing a dress that appears to be slipping off her shoulder, is too short for the occasion, and her shoes are shortening her overall appearance. A squared or rounded off toe abruptly ends the line of the leg. Her outfit really is a disappointment.

  8. Dress is truly beautiful and appropriate and she is wearing the brooch ( also used as hair ornament ) and matching earrings from if I remember correctly Ole Lyngaard . Flying the Danish flag as she often does . Well played your Royal Highness.

Mary looks polished, stylish and chic as always, when she is on an official visit … but rarely in Danish design … and since this is a Danish business delegation she should promote it!
Sorry, but I don't think Mary looks regal…… much more like a fashion model. She hasn't her own style as Maxima and Camilla…… and as her Danish Queen Margrethe.

    2. Oh no Anonymous, I prefer a lit bit of fashion model, carefully chosen like here, than the questionable own style of Maxima or Camilla. To me adaptability a great plus in many respects.

  11. I love everything about this look except the hair style. It seems too severe a style for the fullness of the dress style. I am sure there are softer styling options for an up do.

I agree. Everything else is very stylish, but the bun does not suit her face. It's too strict.

Is is how a royal should dress. Mary looks so polished, chic and regal. Her outfit is perfect. Hair up soft and casual. Rarely does Mary get it wrong. Absolutely beautiful. Does anyone know who her dress is by??

  15. I think it looks like she borrowed a dress from Queen Elisabeth wardrobe and she is over 80.

Well, she don't look over 80 but you are right. This so called regal style reminds me of house wife from 50's. Not very modern, not very business like. Mary has have much better outlooks. But I like her smile.

    2. Dear Colleagues, don't forget that fashion works in a cyclic way, and so called "older styles" are coming back! and should then be regarded as trendy. In my view her silhouette is in itself a reason not to compare Mary with current Qn Elisabeth!!! Honestly that is disgracious to Mary.

    3. Old fashion style/retro is not for everyone to wear.Mary are not so young that it makes her chic only elder.
Fredric has a classic style and are well dressed for his age.
I suppose that Mary should do the same.

Her hair in the evening event suits her much better than the very severe style earlier.

  18. She is the best dresser of the bunch we follow and does not fail either today. Such a classy and sophisticated look. Love those Ole Lynggaard jewels.

  22. Oh, Mary looks just perfect, stylish, beautiful - always. Good for Denmark to have such a Crown-princess.

  23. Think of Mary and you think chic, elegant, stylish. Her choices are not sufficient extreme for her to come into fashion model category, but suited to her, while matching current fashions. I like her hair up but agree that the looser style suits for evening suits her better than the severe daytime style. (and pinned so that there are no straggles!) I think the day outfit is great but the evening one, without being particularity exciting, is fantastic on her.
