| This year, Switzerland hosts the 15th German speaking countries' Presidents meeting. On September 5, 2018, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa of Luxembourg, Hereditary Prince Alois and Hereditary Princess Sophie of Liechtenstein, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Buedenbender, Swiss Federal President Alain Berset and his wife Muriel Zeender Berset, Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen and his wife Doris Schmidauer got together at Hotel Waldhaus in Sils Maria holiday resort of Switzerland for the 15th German speaking countries' Presidents meeting. The annual meetings of German speaking countries' Presidents have taken place since 2004 and the meeting is held in one of six participant countries every year. |
