  1. Lovely picture! Wish the pink top was white; I guess she didn’t get the memo:)

    1. I agree with you. And she also could have worn a clear jeans. Despite that, the pictures are beautiful. I love it. :)

    2. Well I disagree, everybody is in white, so what... at least a bit of colour gives more relief to the picture

    3. Usually when a large family is taking a casual summer picture with a photographer everyone wears same colors so that the individual faces stand out. It’s a classier more permanent capture that will endure through the years. The dark jeans and the pink tops spoils it.

    4. I disagree, too.
It would be a very boring pic when absolutly everybody wears almost the same stuff. So she's an eyecatcher in that pic.

And what an eyecatcher :-) She looks really beautiful and happy.

It's a very nice pic, all the family looks so nice!

    5. Must be an American thing.

    6. And I also disagree. Stephanie is wearing jeans and pastels, but luckily for the picture not the same colours as the others which would have been boring. And she is so pretty in this picture, the pink top suits her so well.

    7. They wear white, light blue and light pink (Stephanie and Sebastian)

    8. Southernbelle, actually a photographer asks them to have certain color theme, here it has been light colors, not white. Photos look better when people don´t have all just the same color but matching colors. Here the theme must have been light colors and Stephanie goes very well to that.

Well, if the photographer thought that the pink was spoiling the color theme she would have tactfully asked Stephanie to change. The fact that the photo was taken like this means to me that this was considered perfectly acceptable from a visual harmony perspective by a professional, IMO. I actually wonder if in these staged family photos taken by the Royal families the whole who-wears-what is agreed and approved in advance so nothing is left to chance or individual decisions.... it is all part of the public image they want to portray

Prince Sebastien is wearing a light pink shirt, and Prince Louis is wearing a light blue shirt. And the 2 princesses in front are wearing textured ivory tops. Prince Guillaume is wearing a striped shirt.

Oh my word, stunning photos, they look so happy. And so informal, just wish they had included a photo of the grand children. I'm dying to know how is it to live in a medieval castle, how many hi-tech improvements, refurbishing they had to make

    1. A lot of hi-tech, Anonymous! They have digitalised everything. They don't have servants but autonomous robots, orchestrated by Siri and Alexa. That is because nobody wanted to work side by side with all the ghosts and phantoms, who gather after hundred and hundred of years! But it is a tricky thing with the Siris and Alexas: after a while, artificial intelligence starts to follow its own algorithms - even worse compared to the ghost of a male newborn, killed 333 years ago by a jealous new stepmother...

I'm afraid there's nothing medieval about Château de Berg since it was only built between 1907 and 1911.

Ok, I'm willing to rest my case, but a year or so back, I read that the royal/ducal families, of Luxembourg, and Liechtenstein, live in medieval castles, well upgraded of course to fit today's modern times

    4. Honestly, that Chateau is so young? What a pity...

  8. They all look great but I can't help thinking that the pics are photo-shopped. And Mama and Papa look like they have taken a youth cure, they don't look older than their children!

    1. I agree with Gabriella. Perfect hair, perfect white smiles, they all look as if they'd had a total makeover or more likely, been photoshopped.

    2. I cannot see any photoshoping here, but they have all nice hairs and make-up and matching clothes, in that level the pic is staged. But that comes to most of official portraits, meaning is never informal "come how you" are but something they want to see year coming.

Stephanie looks very pretty in light pink top. It matches well with pale blue and white. I wish they had included grandchildren too.

    1. Ha ha ha, thank you, Rina! You proof my theory right. One of the ghosts stole her second leg! Or is it the famous photshop-ghost?

    2. clean your glasses, her other leg is behind that little stonewall xD

  16. Beautiful family photo but totally photoshopped, all of them. I am guessing that Stephanie’s outfit was planned this way. Adds a pop of color.

    1. I am curious to know where you know that photosopping here? I keep myself very good as picking it up as I do it myself almost daily, but here I see just well organized diffused lighting from two focus and normal soft focus portrait lens. No real photographer takes portraits with harsh light and with too strict lens. I know most of pics of Marie Theresa are photoshopped but cannot find any mars here.

Of course some image processing is done to almost all pics here (all professional taken pics), that means good white balance, correct light exposure, managing shadows and high lights, some adjustments with accuracy, maybe some cropping etc. But that is what was earlier also done to every pic in darkroom. That is also not done in Photoshop.

    2. Thanks for your expert explanations @Blondiini, I also think it is not photoshopped. This is what a professional group portrait looks like whith good lighting and soft-focus, so the skin lokks even. Everything is staged and well planned in advance, the clothes - I don't think that Stéphanie wears accidentally pink - the posture of each and everyone, the arrangement of the group. Everybody, also the men wears a light natural make-up. I think Guillaume and Stéphanie look especially good. I hope they are happy in London.

  18. Stephanie looks stunning, radiant in fact.

MT has obviously discovered the fountain of youth and I wish she would share her secret.

Beautiful family photo. And I think Stephanie's pink top is perfect, without the subtle touch of colour the photo would have been a little bland.
