  1. She looks very good, love her hat. That photo where she is sitting alone is one of the best I ever have seen about her.

    1. the hat is a little too much for the occasion. A casual hat not over the top would have worked best.

    2. Last year she wore the dress at Ascot.

    Wow! Just lovely.
The sleeves look a bit odd shape-wise, but put it down to an interesting design feature. Otherwise The Countess of Wessex looks shapely, attractive and very well put together from head to toe. Brava!

  5. Antique style, not in balance with the hat and shoes unfortunely. she can do better than that!!

Love her whole look today! Sophie looks so good in this color green. The neckline is very flattering on her. The shoes and hat..nice finishing touch!

  7. This dress is questionable. I like the color and shape but not the length. I don’t know why she is choosing these long dresses, she is still young and has a great figure, she looks better in shorther lengths. She might also want to get some better undergarmets if she is going to wear figure hugging dresses.

too long the dress, in fact quite nice

Sorry ,but I don't think that dress, which may look nice on her, was a good choice for a service at the Abbey. Neckline too wide and low. Sleeves look baggy.

  10. My eyes are mostly recuperated from eye surgery, but sometimes...does anyone know what type of fabric that is? Is it wool or poly? That is a nice style for the Countess.

    1. Hello! Countess wore this Emilia Wickstead dress famously for the first Ascot day in June 2017. It is a gorgeous green wool crepe and in close ups you can see the jascquard texture of it.

    2. Thank you! I remembered it from Ascot last year, but didn't know how quickly researching that on the Internet would bring up the answer.Jacquard in a crepe, maybe that was what was throwing off my cognitive powers! Thanks.

Sophie looks great today. Deep green color is pretty on her. The fit is very nice and the length makes her look thinner and very classic. Well done!

  12. Lucir un escote en dos colores está muy feo. Los self tanning existen para algo. No puedo ver otra cosa, lo siento.

  13. I have mixed feelings here. She is obviously standing in for the Queen so she can dress boldly, but that hat looks like it belongs at Ascot. Dress is fine although I am not a fan of the sleeves.

  14. Lovely colour and style. Like some other comments, I agree that it should just be a bit shorter, which would be more flattering. The hat is superb!

  15. She wore that dress last year at Ascot. That was the day she tripped while getting into the carriage and almost landed on the Duchess of Cambridge. It is an Emilia Wickstead and it is made of wool. Looks too heavy and hot for me.

  18. I absolutely love this dress, dramatic color much in line with the hues chosen by the queen. It's classic but with a very modern touch on the sleeves. The length it's so elegant, I hope this trend continues. She sure knows how to wear a hat!! If I were to find a flaw, it would be the tanning lines in her décolletage, could this be a problem with the lighting?

Completely agreed , funny how people are quick to point out that Megan wears low cuts, but Sophie has done much worse

    2. Agree. Not appropriate for the occasion or the location. Neither is the hat.
