  1. I think Sophie's dress is unkind to her.

    1. Absolutely and I do not understand why she wears them so long these days. I guess some formal dresses look good longer but they look much better on taller ladies. I never did like this dress on Sophie or anyone else for that matter.

    2. I think it must be very hard to always look good in the public glare, especially as you get older. I would take a hard look at what really works for me and then stick religiously to that even if it means having a tailor of my own. People might then find me predictable, but well turned out time and again.

    3. Spot on, Teresa Alfonso ……… and that is what Camilla has done all years as Duchess of Cornwall, IMO!

  2. The color is very good and it looks fresh, but the jumpsuit itself is too busy and ill-fitted. Besides, jumpsuits in general are almost never elegant, because they are usually not comfortable. Silk jumpsuit of this color would be a nightmare to take off when you go to the loo, for example.

A nother day at Wimbledon,. Camilla looks nice, so does Sophie.

  4. I like Camilla's dress but Sophie looks just plain silly: too much fabric, looks like it is binding her, way too long, ugh. This is tennis, not a garden party on a cool day. Maybe someone should print a copy of comments on this blog and send it to her. Borrow a stylist from Edward's nephews' wives.

  5. Lovely appearance from both ladies. I like the pale pink with polka dots of Camilla's dress. I like the jumpsuit - I liked it when she wore it before - but she's made it a bit less dressy with loose hair. I've noticed these 1930s style gathered around the bosom styles are around quite a lot this year.

    1. Agree. It looks even worse today than at the previous outing.

Camilla looks more appropriate than Sophie. I am rarely enamoured with Sophie’s outfits lately. Most of them are matronly and also ill fitting. She should indeed consider a new stylist (assuming she has one). Or even borough hoomever her sister in law is using; the two of them evolved in two opposing directions in terms of style. And one more observation: lately Camilla wears very well white and light colours. Impressive for a 70+years old.

This is a winning oufit - classy and elegant.

  8. Not a fan of the dress first time out. Like it even less this time. It does nothing at all for Sophie. Like Linda K, I don't understand why she is wearing everything so long. It's neither flattering nor elegant. However, always nice to see Sophie out and about. Camilla looks nice.

  9. Hmmm, something about Sophie's dress is not working here -- and I can't figure it out, because I loved it when she wore it at Ascot. The fit seems different. Or maybe the Ascot hat and updo elevated the look...anyway, I like the matching handbag, and her hair looks beautiful here in the first photo, softly waved (looks terrible in the later pics, though :-( )

Sophie is aging herself in dresses of that length. I realize that this is a jumpsuit, but it looks like a dress, and is the same length she has been wearing, which is matronly. It can't be too hard to have her dowdy dresses taken up to a more fashional length. I do like her hair down and a nice cut/shaping would make it easy for her to wear it down more.

Agree that Sophie's jumpsuit could be a bit shorter. But I think the color is beautiful on her and I especially like the sleeves. It was more appropriate for Ascot and looked fabulous with the hat.

  16. Re Sophie’s outfit:
At Royal Ascot, our eyes rose to her hat which completed the look. Whereas at Wimbledon, our eyes stop at the very round (and stifling) neckline, which needed a statement necklace for that ta-dah flourish.
It can’t be said enough, our sisters would benefit from well structured unmentionables.
All things said, the best look for this outfit is to donate it or let an expert seamstress have-at-it.

  17. Sii es un mono :es la primera vez que se permite es Ascot y Sophie fur pionera, pero repetirlo con collar al tono sin sombrero no le favorece (es cómodo )
