    1. The top part of the dress is too tight above the bust, at the bust and below the bust.

  2. I like the idea of this dress but it's too tight in the bust area, not flattering at all. Also the bag is too big for this outfit.

    1. I think the bag is fine, she's taking her work seriously and that shows in her outfits. In clutch she can't take anything with, where as in a bag she can come prepared. Notice the queen always carries a bag on her work engagements?

Agree, the top is by far to tight. Love the dress of Lady Coyne.
The thing is, that you don´t know how an outfit will look like when
      the person is photographed.

One thing - I would have left the handbag at home or in the car. It's too big and is getting in her way. Appart from that - she is perfect and the colour of the dress is so unusual and look so good in the photos. Simply perfection.

  6. First I loved the dress then I realized the fit is kind of strange in her torso, doesn’t favor her figure. And I really don’t care for her big purse. But anyway she looks stunning she’s such a gorgeous young woman

  8. Love the dress but it's not fitted properly over the bust which is unfortunate - because that's all I can look at!

Love the interaction with the dogs!

  9. This one isn´t terrible, but it´s not really beautiful either. I don´t like the colour, too muddy. I don´t like the asymmetrical hem, and most of all, I don´t like the tight fit of the bodice and the outlines of the bra that everyone can see. It is still neat, and I like the solid colour, the simplicity of the silhouette, and the sleeve shape.

  10. I think her hair styled with the bun looks better with a side part.

  11. Sorry but the dress fits perfectly. The only problem here is her bra. Concerning the bag, i like it like that and i think this is so refreshing to see something but clutch bags. Thank you Meghan, you go girl !

    1. Sorry but I disagree - the dress is pulling and wrinkling and showing the line of her bra.

    2. Franny, I really think is the bra, she seems to be using a strapless and unfortunately it's doing what they always do, cutting the the flesh in order to stay put, and therefore it destroys the otherwise fantastic cut. Apart from that, I find the dress quite exquisite. Better underwear next time!!

    3. I think it is the bra also. She is obviously wearing a strapless bra and it shows but the dress fits beautifully.

    4. I don't think the bra is helping but the dress is all rucked underneath as well. Anyway, I agree it's a beautiful dress so hope she can sort it out so that it is shown to its best next time she wears it.

  12. Is she pregnant? I noticed a kind of little bump when she was wearing the yellow dress and now there it is again, you can see it clearly in picture five.

what's wrong with her bra? The dress is wrinkling badly...
The bag is too big for a formal outfit, it's not an office

  15. I agree with others that the top portion of Meghan's dress is too tight -- imo much too tight -- which is unfortunate as it spoils an otherwise flawlessly elegant overall look!

Top is too tight and ill-fitting. She needs help with undergarments in this dress.

  20. I like the dress but I think she has on a strapless bra which notoriously don't photograph well. It's making the top look too tight.
I also think its more noticeable because of the color...

  21. Only missing the file folder under the arm. The bag aims at a similar effect. She's staging herself like Amal Clooney. It's so Hollywood :(.

Hollywood? Hardly? It is a simple case of a woman having her own style and a segment of the population not being able to accept the fact that she intends to stay true to herself. She is dressing very conservatively, and very stylishly. A lot of the suggestions about what she SHOULD be wearing, and SHOULD NOT be wearing are describing typical "royal family" uniform, and can be very aging. Small bags serve no real useful purpose, except to accessorize an outfit. Her bag is fine, and she hasn't been hanging on to her bags for security or to keep her hands busy. She appears to be handing them off. Try to be more accepting and less judgemental.

I must agree with monty. Meghans bag is really to big. As someone has written above she isn't going to the office. Also the bag is obvisously not good filled. So a smaller bag would have been the better choice for practical and stylish reasons.

  22. I think she wears a strapeless bra just to fit her boat neck dress, and this makes her upper portion look weird a bit. I hope she is pregnant!! Considering the fact she is same age as duchess Catherine they should hurry 😊

I have to chime in about all the "bump" comments. Most women - even those as slender as Meghan - are not concave in the abdomen. If anything, her "bump" as it's been referred to, looks like a "six pack" to me.

Nice color and style of this dress the extra fabric seems to me makes this dress heavy. I do not care for the bag,way to big I think. I must say I like Mrs. Higgins dress a lot color and style and well fitting. The dogs are camera hogs.

Also, I agree with previous posts that the dress fits poorly (her bra should not show like that, she is a Duchess!) and her bag too big.

  30. The fitting of this dress around the bust and torso is a disaster. The colour dreadful for a summer day. The oversized bag is just hilarious. No sorry, this look is not working for me.

    ReplyDelete
  31. What is going on with the upper part of the dress? It’s lovely itself (the dress) but who gave her this bra? Disaster!

    ReplyDelete
  32. LOL too much fabric used for the 'curtain', too little for the top of the dress. The bra should be thrown out.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think she's wearing a strapless bra and it's showing terribly. It's like you can't see anything else but that. It appears that she has a boxy torso and her stylist/designers "create" the illusion of a waistline. It would have worked except the undergarments or fit is not working...not sure which is to blame. Otherwise I quite like the color and overall style of this dress.

  34. So I saw some other pictures and here is the problem with the top. She is wearing a strapless bra. You can make it out in other shots. It is not giving her support. That would have made all the difference with the look.
I still like the dress. Who doesn't like Mouret?

  35. Sabina Coyne's dress looks wrinkly and strange also.

oh... and I thought she only had one blip - the non-summery colour of her baptism dress (ok, maybe two, I was not a fan of her choice for Ascot).

It's not just the bra, it's just too tight (funny, after all the slightly too loose ones); also the bottom heavy-looking material make this a fall (maybe even winter) outfit. If this was a November day (and the top would fit properly), I would say "quite original and sure, why not?". Although this colour, I continue to believe does her no favours.

I keep my hopes up that this will be the last olive one... sometimes it takes a while to figure out what works (oddly enough, I don't recall her ever wearing this colour when she was single - does anyone?).

  37. Not a fan again of the dull colour. This dress is very much like the black dress she wore the day before her wedding when she was photographed with Doria. To me she keeps wearing the same type of clothes. Wearing a strapless bra has pulled the whole bodice of the dress and makes it look terrible. If this dress is bespoke ( as no doubt it is ) surely they would have advised her to come for the fitting wearing the underwear she was planning on wearing with this dress. Then perhaps this ilfitting bodice would not have been a concern. For the amount of money that is being handed out for these outfits a lot of them have missed the mark in the execution.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Bodice on this dress is way too tight. You can see the total outline of her strapless bra. Her posture is unfortunate also which makes those rolls of material from under her bust to her waist. Total disaster. Plus this is July and that dress looks like a dress you would wear in the fall of the year.

    ReplyDelete
  39. After three great dresses yesterday, perhaps it was inevitable that the only way was down. As many previous people have pointed out, the first problem is the strapless bra to accommodate the boat neck of the dress. Even on someone as slim as Meghan, it's unflattering. However, the rest of the bodice is also wrinkled and ill fitting; the big flappy bit on the skirt isn't enough to detract from the fact that it's too tight across the stomach; the colour is bleurgh & the bag/briefcase is just daft. At least we now know she can do so much better. Think of the gorgeous yellow dress. 😀
As to being pregnant, assuming she fell pregnant immediately after the wedding, very few woman would be showing any visible signs of pregnancy this soon and certainly not ones as fit as Meghan. Give her a break!

Meghan is doing so well! The strapless bra compromised a lovely dress. She appears to like the boat neck style which pretty much limits bra options to just one - strapless. She looked just as lovely in the slim yellow dress that didn't need strapless and possibly was more comfortable (?) All the best to her.

  46. Stunning! I love Meghan's dress, her accessories and her hair and makeup look fantastic in my opinion too.

So what, a bra line! We have seen bra lines on countless members of nobility dating back to the Princess of Wales. News flash! Women wear bras and panties and sometimes despite our best efforts the outline can be seen.

    1. Right. Don't think this is a best effort though.

Not sure that anyone has been shocked that she wears a bra and you're the first person to mention panties. However, I don't think the dress was designed as a vehicle for showing her underwear. I like the dress but I don't think the fit is right, I think a sleeker, less bra revealing line would have been perfect.

I agree It's me! So much effort spent on a bra. Every woman has had "issues" with their under garments at one time or another. They just haven't had it happen on an international stage.
