  1. That shiny purple dress/skirt, might well be one of the ugliest things ever!

I agree, even if we are a minority...

  3. Ugly dress. That front visible seam and the strange cut of the skirt make it look unfinished.

  4. Maxima's outfit looks weird and shiny. Lovely hairdo.
Beatrix's dress's color looks very beautiful.

  5. Mostly Maxima manages very well these gala bling-bling events but this one is totally miss. Dress is ugly and jewels talk totally different language togeather and with clothes.

    Margriet looks good.

  7. Not my favourite dress, but I admire Queen Maxima for recycling some old dresses. She wore this dress for the first time in 2001! (and also in 2007)
I adore the jewelry that she chose. Nice to see this tiara on her.

Her hair looks pretty, maybe we can ask the hairdresser to make some room in her schedule to help out with Maxima's daily hairstyle? :P

  8. First impression - she looks great. Perhaps it's her radiant smile but I think the dress is interesting as is the colour combo. Looked again this morning and I still like it!

The skirt is lovely but makes a strange impression because she is lifting up the hem, because there were heavy rains in the Netherlands at that time.

  10. As usual, Máxima is perfection! The raw-silk material is beautiful, the fit is flawless (I especially like the cut-in design of the top), the jewels are fabulous and her hair and makeup are beautiful. Another fashion win for this lovely queen.

  12. I think before I found this blog I got used to the way the flash impacts the photo of shiny fabrics. I have to respectfully disagree w/others. I bet the outfit looks great in person. Before any fashion or jewels, I saw the big, happy smiles. The best accessories. They're doing something right.

  13. El vestido de Máxima es feo, nada que ver la parte superior con la falda, pero las joyas son magníficas y se ha peinado :)

  14. It looks as though Queen M. has loaded herself with as many jewels as she could manage to gather in a bid to draw attention away from this Natan eyesore of a gala dress. For a moment I feared that she had forgotten to wear a bracelet en her left arm, but it was an absurd fear: she has managed to trow into de mix her tutti-frutti bracelet. It only lacks a brooch to bring her down under the carat weight of her jewellery.
