Queen Elizabeth visits the International Maritime Organization

On March 6, 2018, Britain's Queen Elizabeth II visited the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in London, to mark the 70th anniversary of its formation. As a specialized agency of the United Nations, the IMO is the global standard-setting authority for the safety, security and environmental performance of international shipping. The organisation has 173 Member States and is the only United Nations agency to be headquartered in the UK.
