  1. The bride looks lovely but I don't feel the dress is anything that hadn't been seen before - it reminds me very much of the Duchess of Cambridge's dress.

Personally I find Alexandra of Hanover's dress too old and fussy for her. However, it that was her choice then I think it deserves more than "I'm off to the gym" hair and make up.

I quite look Princess Eugenie's dress, Beatrice's is ok but the tailored jacket she is carrying is too "office" and I don't like the clumsy shoes.

It looks like a lovely day and everyone's having fun so that's great - just a bit of a fashion disappointment for me.

  2. It's a classic bridal dress. My godmother made this dress for her younger/my older sisters's Barbies back in the 60s. Happy to see it on a live person. The bride looks lovely.

  3. I like the top of the wedding dress but the lower part seems wrinkly because of all the lace and I think it looks cheap in some way. Of the guests, Eugenie is the best!

  4. The bride's dress is exquisite. Floral lace details echo the amazing tiara; the fit is perfect; the aerial photos show the generous but not unwieldy proportions. Not sure who the older bridesmaid (?) is carrying Alessandra's train but she is lovely and her classically cut pale pink dress is beautiful.

Alexandra of Hannover's dress is fun, young, and just right for her age and figure. Agree that Eugenie looks good. Beatrice is unfortunate--out-of-step dark dress, too-tight upper portion makes her shoulders look dumpy, ugly clumpy shoes.

    2. Ah, thank you, Blondini.

  5. The bride is beautiful but her gown is rather boring. The tiara however is so beautiful and saves the impression. Princess Alexandra looks good and fresh. York sisters look somehow unfinished as always. Maybe it it their hair, they never seem to give any attention to their hair really. Eugenie could have looked rather good if with good hair. First pic of Marie Olympia makes me almost forget how she mostly represent only image too much money and too little reasonable things to do, but the second pose is such a basic stupid pose mouth open that it leads my thoughts quickly back to the main path.

  6. The bride could have worn anything and she would have looked stunning. The tiara was the one of the loveliest I have seen. Marie Olympia looks petulant, as Blondiini says, too much money and too little reasonable things to do. She looks as if she has had lip fillers too. It’s too bad she cannot have a genuine smile in the photos. Ah, to have been invited to what looks a splendid wedding.

    1. You're right; the designer is Jorge Vázquez. The bride's earrings are from Joyería Suárez.

  9. Beautiful looking bride ! The dress reminds me on the Duchess of Cambridge´s wedding-dress.
Young Princess Alexandra seems very comfortable in her floral and fresh dress.

  10. Alessandra looks stunning in her classic bridal dress. Apart from the floral laces in the skirt … it reminds a lot of the iconic Grace Kelly dress, IMO. Many have used the corsage top with laces since then ………
About Maria-Chantal's appearance……… absolutely no comment, but I think she stands between her dad and uncle Philippos on the first foto ??

  11. The bride looks lovely. Nevertheless I find that whole event ridiculous. A lot of "princesses" and even a "crown prince" without any crown or monarchy. And right in the middle a Maria "I can't close my mouth" Olympia who is looking like a soap opera starlet trying to play a princess - a role she will never succeed in.

  13. The bride looks lovely. I love her lace dress. It is so much better than those strapless and see-thru horrors that designers seem to love. The York girls' dresses are ghastly as usual. I am not fond of Alexandra's Valli dress either. I do love the pink dress of the other lady holding the train. Is that Alessandra's sister maybe? I am not familiar with the lesser royals, although I did recognize those of the Greek royal family (yes I know Greece doesn't have their royal family anymore, but you can't just ignore the family's royal history. They are still royal in the royal community that they associate with and are related to.)

  14. The bride looks very nice in what can only be described as a very traditional dress. I don't think any of the guests look outstanding, a visit to a hairdresser wouldn't have hurt a view of the guests.

The bride's dress is gorgeous and, as another said, her lace echoes the design of the tiara. So pretty!! Alexandra's dress is so cute!! She's echoing her mother's style and I LOVE that!!

  16. Is that Alexandra's (from Monaco) boyfriend?

  17. The evening party dresses were much more beautiful and fun. Could we see them here? I agree that the bride looks beautiful in anything. Little apprehensive about the groom's mother Chantal in red...future mother-in-laws in red brings always the "red flag" in mind....

  18. Oh, I _adore_ the red and black peasant dress worn by one of the three pretty guests in the 4th photo from the bottom. Ravishing! -- if arguably a smidgen too informal for a wedding. And while Alexandra of Hanover is still a very young lady, her dress is just too short! Beatrice's aggressively uncovered shoulders are a strange look here.

  19. With all the different trends of wedding dresses, I love a traditional, elegant and somewhat understated gown. This screams 'I respect and honor tradition. This is not just about me, but about something greater than me.' Beautiful!
