  1. So there is also a romanian royal family. Does anybody know if they play any role in that state?

  2. Not officially. The monarchy was abbolished in 1947 by the comunists. King Michael and the royal family is respected and much loved by the romanian people, but unfortunetly he never took back the throne. Crown princess Margaret has a foundation witch helps elderly people and has all sorts of different causes, and also she and her husband goes to visit others monarches and the royal family has ties with all the other royal families but not in an official capacity.

    1. That is such a terribly hateful thing to say! I am so tired of people being cruel to others, why am I alone? You can dislike her (I assume you are referring to Princess Stephanie) lipstick colour all day, but to say that she looks "frightening"? That is mean and unnecessary.
You all need to get that Stephanie is very happy in life right now. She and her father were very close and this was a very special day. Prince Rainier always said that he wanted to run away and join the circus and I thought it was so neat that he created the Circus Festival. So trust me, Steph is FINE, her children are all doing very well, her father is being honored, and guess what? When we are in our 50s, we don't all look like super models. I am so sad and tired of the way people treat the Grimaldi family. If you have nothing nice to say why not move on?
I was so happy to see these photos, so I am very grateful to the person who keeps this Blog thank you very much!

  4. The sun, a very wild phase, and grief have taken their toll on Stephanie. Also, not sure whether she still smokes like Caroline. None of the above are kind.

  5. She looks very old to her age 52. That lipstick is just a nightmare.

  7. Hair pulled back doesn't suit anyone, whether in a pony tail or a bun or know like Victoria. Their hair certainly is not their crowning glory.

    1. Wow. JUut so much hate and cruelty. What did this lady ever do to ANY of you? This is not about critiquing her looks, it is about a monument for Prince Rainier! A well-deserved one! Stop this hatefulness! Actions start as thoughts, and this world has seen so many acts of hate and terror lately, can we not have a break and be decent, civil human beings?

    2. This blog tends to be one about fashion so comments about appearance are pretty normal - I don't think it's hate but when sit at our keyboards writing about people most of us don't know we can become a bit distanced from the comments we make.

I like Stephanie very much and admire her charity work and the way she has brought up her children. I don't care if she has tans and wrinkles - if she has lived her life and got as much out of it as possible then good for her. I admire both her and Caroline for not going down the Botox and fillers route - a rarity in Monaco, I would have thought.

However, I'm not completely convinced by the she doesn't care argument. If she didn't care she wouldn't dye her hair, wear make up or have had breast augmentation. It's a slightly curious juxtaposition, that's all.

  9. Princess Grace's children have not aged well at all. Too much sun and hard living.

    1. Princess Grace was an incredibly kind lady whose heart was even more beautiful than her exquisite face, and she never said a mean word about anyone. She worked to make people's lives better, together with her husband. It is disrespectful and cruel to talk about her children in such a hateful way. Your words would hurt Grace's heart - that is an absolute fact.
I look younger than I am, but have gotten to do nothing with my life due to illness. I would rather have a life and kids and stories than look young. And it is not possible to be so hateful to Stephanie and then turn around and be kind in your every day life. I cannot believe there is not ONE COMMENT about how wonderful and special this event was, I for one am so very grateful to see my cousin's husband honored this way. Prince Rainier was a special man who was very misunderstood, and Gracie was often as well. How about we try kindness, see how that makes you feel. These are not people who chose to be famous - Stephanie used to hide in the TRUNK of her Mum's car when the paparazzi would follow them, especially in Paris. Now she is a Mum, she has great kids who love her, and she has coped amazingly well, especially in the past few years, with all of it. She hates being photographed and now I know why :(

    2. You are of course entitled to your opinion and are obviously in a position to talk with some knowledge about this family.

But I disagree that people can't be kind in everyday life if they make the odd cruel comment about someone they don't know on social media. People tend to be far more complex than that and everyone has their moments. The fact is Stephanie looks older than she is. It doesn't change the fact that she is an admirable person. You have said Grace wasn't interested in clothes - well, you couldn't tell. With Stéphanie you quite often can.

  10. There are many women who have had a hard life, may be harder than Stéphanie's, and don't have her money, but still manage to look put better together than she does.
