Portugal visit of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima 1st day

3 days Portugal state visit of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima began with the welcoming ceremony held by President of Portugal, Rebelo de Sousa in front of Jeronimos Monastery in Belem district of Lisbon. Afterwards, the King and the Queen placed a wreath on the tomb of biggest poet and national hero of Portugal, Luis de Camoes.

Then, the King and the Queen met with President of the Parliament, Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues. In the afternoon, after being received by Lisbon mayor Fernando Medina at Royal Farm, the King and the Queen had a trip by tramway in Mouraria and Intendente districts.

  1. While i like QMaxima's dress, I can't say the same about her hat. I think I got big hat fatigue from her.

  7. she goes on an oficial visit to a country where people are small. She stands there with 15cm hills and that giant capellina, she looks like Gulliver

    2. People in Portugal are not short ..... Their height is very normal. Maxima is a very tall woman, she wears high heels and most of the times she looks like a giant !!!

  9. A small hat would have gone so well with her lovely hairdo. Why does she wear these kinds of hats when her hair is nice, and no hats when her hair is an absolute mess?
