First, is there a royal protocol where the lesser royals are to arrive first to be ready and greet the Queen upon her arrival? Second, I love the symbolism behind Margrethe's hats. With her smile, I dare say she does also. First the royal blue hat with the point then the purple toque seen here. The fabric is softer than the components of the german military helmet; they were conquered. World War II was won; keep smiling Margrethe!

ردحذفPrincess Benedikte is one classy lady. I really like Crown Princess Mary's outfit. Very elegant and stylish.
ردحذفCPM is a bit overdone I feel, too fussy. Removing one element of the look would have improved it (plain shoes, straight skirt, no belt on the jacket). Princess Benedikte looks striking in the plum and raspberry jacket and hat.
ردحذفI agree, Mary is in a way "wrong" dressed for this memorial ceremony. But it is an elegant dress.

All the ladies look good. I think the queen is wearing that lovely blue dress she wore in Rome.
ردحذفI do agree with Lucy that perhaps Mary is a bit overdone - the outfit might have been even nicer with plain black shoes , or a completely black skirt with the patterned shoes.
Princess Benedikte and Crown Princess Mary are as usual the most elegantly dress ladies of the Danish Royal Court in my opinion.
