Congo visit of AMADE Mondial president Princess Caroline

AMADE president Princess Caroline of Hanover visited Democratic Republic of the Congo in order to visit programs supported by Amade Mondiale and to start "Respect to the Women" program. The Princess visited Kinshasa, Gbadolite and Goma cities where AMADE programs have been started. That visit is the fourth visit of the Princess to Congo within the scope of AMADE programs.

The Princess of Hannover met 50 students of 6th grade of Mushie and Lisanga schools by visiting Cultural and Contemporary Art Center of TEXAF Bilembo. Those children watched the short film called "Debout Kinshasa!" together with the Princess of Hannover. That 20 minutes film tells the story of a little child called Samuel who cannot reach the school because of poverty and lack of shoes and tries to earn money in the streets of Kinshasa. That film has been shown more than 30 times at worldwide festivals. The music of the film is a Kinoise work (meaning: from Kinshasa) composed by the cooperation of the band Vokal and Kinphonik musicians

Princess Caroline of Hannover visited a photo exhibition.The Princess also visited HEAL African Hospital founded by Dr Jo Lucy, which is devoted to the medical and psychological treatment of girls, teenagers and sexually abused women.

Amade president Princess Caroline visited United Nations Refugees High Comissary Regional Office (UNHCR) in order to receive information about people who lost their homes in Democratic Congo Republic and about the situation of women and children in the country.

Princess Caroline went to Goma in order to attend "Ceremonie de Bapteme et de Passation des Cordes" (Baptism of education and integration) ceremony held for eCapoeire bPeace program in east of Nagorno Karabagh Region in Capoeira. That project aims to strengthen the process of integration of disarmed children with the society. That program started by AMADE mondiale is carried out by Brazilian Embassy of DRC and UNICEF with the support of governments of Canada and Switzerland.

Princess of Hannover visited Gbadolite for opening of a manufacturing facility. The project called "For the dignity of women" (Dignite pour les femmes) that has been started in Gbadolite is a manufacturing facility which aims to employ a few hundred women in every step of manufacturing such as assembly line, packaging and sterilization.

  2. Je n'aime pas tellement les princesses qui font du bénévolat caritatif mais dans le cas de l'Amade et de la princesse Caroline il en résulte une aide concrète alors je dis bravo.

  5. I love the work this charity does and I really admire how Caroline is so hands on and involved with its various projects.

    The clothes are practical and suitable for getting stuck in. Love the print dress and necklace, a mark of respect to the country she is visiting. The shoes are wonderful - don't know how she can walk in them.
