    2. I'm French. We love Mrs Macron - she's intelligent, courageous, cultivated and warm. We are proud of her. Her style is modern and, simultaneously, sober and bold.

    3. I'm not french but I like her, too :-)

I like the dress, that she wears to this occasion.
On some occasions before (like the meeting with queen Mathilde and other first ladys/husbands) her dresses were to short for the occasion and looked very sporty instead of elegant.

But this one is very nice and classy!

  3. Isn't Lalla Salma underdressed?

    I think so.

    Mrs. Macro is very bland...

    Deciving! n

  4. Brigitte looks very good. A simple, understated and elegant dress and a great updo. Lalla Salma looks bland, which is rare for her.

  5. Mm. Macron has to learn how to sit properly on those state-occasions. Her dress is nice, but it's time to cover up arms/ellbowes and knees a bit, when not on a beach promenade in Biarritz. (...and to ditch to much sun...)Strange pictures.

    1. It looks like Mrs Macron is an ignorant of protocol and religion but her dress is at least longer than usual. It is indeed disrespectfully to sit with her legs as she does.

    2. I second every word you said.
This dress is indeed nice; in fact, it´s the best dress I´ve seen her wear so far, but it´s still inappropriate for a state occasion. And the way she sits is cringe-worthy.

  6. Brigitte tries to appear younger than she is, it's not working. The white dress is very nice but too short for her. The Princess outfit is way too casual.

    1. I agree. The white dress is nice but would have been a lot more elegant and appropriate with 5cm added to both hem and sleeves.

    2. I agree totally with you. Birgitte would have looked very good if the dress was longer.

  7. very elegant dress for Madame Macron

  8. Mm Macron's dress is too short for Morocco, trousers or a mid calf length would have been respectful......when in Rome.

    1. she's not moroccan, why should she dress like? she's the first lady of an important country, she does not need to hide.

in the country where I live everybody is free to dress however they want. Maybe we don't like it everytime, but we accept it. Welcome to a free world.

    3. Just a little bit style and RESPECT, Anna, Respect...

    4. rainha we seem to define respect in a very different way.

Forcing women to dress in a special way like long sleeves, long skirts, headscarf and so on is definately NOT respectful for me - for no woman in the world.

It's respectful to do this when you're entering a religous building, of course.
But this was not a visit to any kind of religious building.

So respect still means for me to accept the free decisions of women instead of judging them because some fanatics think they can repress women.

Of course, fashion is very subjective and we can like it or don't like it and we can talk about it (what we do on this website a lot) but we should not judge women for refusing repressing.
Instead, we should be proud on them, because they stand for every free woman in the world.

    5. Anna, did I wrote about forcing Mme. Macron to long sleeves, long skirts, headscarfs???? I guess you might have a little problem, dear.

    6. but you talk about it would be respect to do so and that's the same. because it is'nt respect.

  9. Brigitte Macron always wears too short dresses. It's disrespectful. I don't know why she does it. Maybe to prove she is still young? But many younger ladies don't attract attention that way.

  11. Remember that it is Ramadan, hence Princess Lalla Salma is, what some describe, as 'underdresed'. Mme Macron is wearing a lovely dress but totally wrong for this time and country.

  12. The dress isn't too bad, whilst she's stood up, the problem is when she's sat down, far too short. Last few times, Mrs M seems to attire herself in clothes more fitting to a younger generation.

  15. I am just seeing this now. At this diplomatic State Visit, where two nations are interested in getting along, we see some culture clash. With all due respect to the Moroccans, the legs on the chairs are shorter than what Westerners are accustomed, and there is nothing wrong with that, but Mrs. Macron had to adapt. Next, the medical community has been discouraging people from crossing their legs at the knee; they should be crossed at the ankles. With luck, her doctor and his staff, and her staff, will see this photo and make corrections for the future.
