Infanta Sofía Celebrates Her 10th Birthday Today

The younger daughter of the King and Queen of Spain, Infanta Sofía, today celebrates her 10th birthday. Infanta Sofía of Spain (Born 29 April 2007) is the second child of King Felipe and Queen Letizia. She has an older sister, Princess Leonor, whom she follows in the line of succession to the Spanish throne. She is second in line to the Spanish throne. Happy 10th birthday Infanta Sofía.

      Yes, queen sofia is wearing faberge eggs receved during the years, its a tradition for them, is reported king juan carlos bough some of them for her.

      Taika; of course today is also genuine Faberge eggs available, old eggs are sold in auctions and these royal houses we follow have big numbers of little old pendants and bigger eggs left. There is story how aunt Minnie (Princess Dagmar of Denmark, lately Empress Maria Feodorovna) got to visit Dutch court relatives Easter time with loads of little Faberge easter eggs. Dutch court was that time connected with most of European courts, including Greese one (with Queen Sofia´s grand mother Grand Duchess Olga Constantinovna of Russia). Queen Margaretha of Denmark has also big collection of Faberge egg pendants today.

      And even Faberge company still exists and has fine jewel collections with eggs. I believe there are two great-granddaughters of Peter Carl Fabergé in that company today, Tatiana and Sarah Faberge.     Sofia is an interesting mix of both her parents and her paternal grandfather. More than Leonor, Sofia tiene "la cara de Bourbon." It will be fascinating to see how her looks develop as she grows up. Wishing her a very Happy Birthday.
