  1. That blouse is ill-fitting on Mette

  2. Oh she is wearing that ridiculous ill fitting ruffle jacket. I would rather see her appear in a ski outft than these clothes.

  4. Unbelievable how elegant and fool of life is queen Sonja at her age.

  5. So is MM just walking around Norway happily oblivious to how bad she looks?
I'm not even going to bother critiquing her outfit, because honestly she knows better. I think she just doesn't care anymore.

    Also Haakon's shoes look horrible.

    1. Not just his shoes, his suit looks like it came out of a bin at the second-hand shop.

  6. I love this combination of cream, burgundy and the different shades of grey...;-)))of the shawlof Sonja. What a discrepancy between the elegance of the queen and the dull appearance of MM. No comment on the dress and coat or jacket of the first lady, she obviously is not interested in fashion.
Did anybody notice these dreadful shoes of Haakon? But then again, what the other gentlemen wear is not much better.

  7. The queen looks amazing. She sets an example of how to look stylish and elegant at her age!
MM's jacket would perhaps have been okay if it had fitted her correctly. Her clothes seem to pull and bunch in all the wrong places. And she really has to rethink the teenager hairdo. It looks awful with the ruffles.

  8. Queen Sonja looks phenomenal! I actually don't dislike Mette-Marit's outfit, but the Queen completely steals the show here.

    1. Yes, let's also focus on men's fashion from time to time. Haakon is a handsome man and he is often dressed well, much better than his wife. But today, he looks terrible, jacket too tight, trousers too short and worn out awkward shoes. Why? can't he afford a suit that suits him and a pair of new shoes?

  10. How come Mette-Marit´s always manages to choose jackets and coats that are too tight for her upper arms, puckering and pulling around her armpits? That´s so unflattering! This ruffled jacket is not my favourite (though much better than the coat of a similar (non-)colour she wore the other day), but it really needed to be like two sizes up to look good.

  11. Who the heck dresses MM she hasn't looked nice for ages except in ski gear! Haakon doesn't look well dressed either for the position he is representing. Queen Sonja absolutely outshines them all. She is a stunning looking lady and always so elegant. Do MM and Haakon not give a rats about their appearance?? Just appalling

  12. MM just doesnt look good here.

  13. Am I the only one who likes MM's jacket? I mean, it's obviously way too tight for her but the jacket itself is a nice piece. Anyone can start throwing stones to me saying I'm body shaming (which is not my intent at all) but the truth is, I think she wore this jacket before and it wasn't that tight. Whick can only mean one thing: she has put on some visible weight. I'm sorry for her because it's bad for her back. You can also see it on her posture, it has started to deteriorate in the past few months.
Q Sonia looks fantastic. I think I've said it before: white is her colour!
Haakon has been wearing the same brown pull on slippers for ages now. And it must be literally the SAME pair, you can see on the wear of it.
If I was crown princ(ess) and I had hit the jackpot with a pair of shoes (meaning it proved to be rather comfortable or otherwise very fitting) I'd go back and buy a pair or two more of the same shoes. I mean, it's not that he can't afford it...
Besides this brown suede goes well only with navy suits. It doesn't look good with dark, greyish-blackish blue tones like this.

  14. Is It really that hard to find jackets with not too tight sleeves in Norway??? If it wasn't for that she would have looked really good today I think.

  15. I agree with ZL that MM's clothes haven't been fitting right lately. She must have staff members at her disposal who can let out half and inch here and there so her favorite clothes fit properly. You would think properly-sized clothes would feel better to wear, too. I would like her jacket if it fit correctly. On a brighter note, I frequently love MM's shoe choices. I like these Pradas too.
The Queen looks amazing. Her little pops of color, that beautiful clutch, that gorgeous shawl... so pretty.

  18. I would like to see some pictures of their outfits at the afternoon party. Why are they not included?

  19. It appears that MM has gained some weight, often her clothes are tight. Happens to all of us, at times.

  20. Thank you for adding a picture from the reception in the evening. In my opinion this is the best outfit that MM has been wearing during the State Visit from Iceland. I like this outfit.
