    1. What is so wrong to wear black lace dress being 17?
And at 40 she will probably wear whatever will be in vogue.

    2. @Myriam - La robe irait a une veuve agee. Sorry, Kristina, the dress isn't appropriate for the occasion, nor for her age. She will have enough occasions in her life to wear mourning weeds.

  3. At long last she looks much better. If not the old looking neck we would think she is much younger than her real age.

    2. Her I must disagree @ Kristina Wagner (by the way we share the same family name :-)))....she seems to wear a heavy foundation on these pictures but she still looks years older than her age, I can tell because I am only two years younger than Caroline and many of my woman friends are in their fifties too, it is the neck and the hands that reveal a woman's age most (Think Madonna! ;-)) When you are heading towards sixty, skin will show how much you cared for your health and beauty in the years before. And Caroline clearly shows the skin of a heavy smoker. Sorry to say that.

  7. Nasty comments about her clothes. There is no reason she would not be let to wear black or lace if she wants. Actually in the last picture all women have black clothes (one with white jacket) and so does Caroline.

I like the way she does not wear a lot of make-up and seems to be at home in her skin.

  8. Blondiini I hope you are right. She will need a lot of self-confidence in presence of beauties like Charlotte and Beatrice.

  9. For heaven's sake, I wore black day and night from when I was 15 to 18-19. I liked it that way, I just didn't like colours. Teenagers are like this, each with his/her craze. Doesn't harm anybody, doesn't wear it to an official engagement where it might be inappropiate so what's the problem then?

  10. Princess Alexandra looks very pretty, classy, and ladylike. Black is not just a color for the elderly or for those mourning. It is also chic and stylish.

  11. I think the daughter looks weird..her eyebrow is very..weird and altogether with her chin and forehead it doesn't seem to match..it looked odd actually..maybe its the angle or I could be wrong

    1. Yes, she has big forehead and small chin, but that is her face.

  12. It is not the colour, it's the lace and the necklace that doesn't seem youthful.

  13. Alexandra looks cute and sweet. I'm sure she loves dressing up in something "fancy" for a special outing. And her clothes are elegant and mercifully modest compared to what some girls her age might wear.

  15. Caroline has ruined her looks with smoking and drinking and tanning--this dress makes her look like Queen Victoria in mourning after she lost her husband Albert--hideous!

    1. All what you said it is true. Very often even the attitude can make the person look much older. But it is age mystery . Some age slower some faster .And as they say maybe it is in your DNA, in your genes. In that case no matter how much you would care about your health ,sport , gym classes and good creams and masks on your face you would still look much older than your age.

    2. Yes part of it is in the DNA, Caroline and Stéphanie are both not ageing well, but then again Albert still has a baby face ;-)), so it is not only a family thing but has also lot to do with personal lifestyle. When a woman gets older than forty, her face will show her life. And life was hard on Caroline, think being widowed with three small children :-(((( This must have been incredible hard, maybe more than one could bear, after already having lost her mother and later her father. And Albert did not seem to be ready at that time to take over responsibility for the country, so she had a lot on her shoulders. But some of the choices she made later were also not the best and did not bring her happiness in life.
