  1. Victoria - obviously it's going to be the most popular. She's lovely. :)
King - more popular that I thought he was.
Queen - I thought she was going to be in second place. I am surprise she not more popular.
Prince Daniel - I can see why people would like him more than the royal family themselves. He seems down to earth. :)
Carl Philip - He seems nice, i can see why people like him.
Sofia - A bit chocked. I thought she was a lot more popular. Specially with so much people defending her online and everything and the quantity of media attention she has received over the recent years. I would imagine that she may come 3rd, after the queen and victoria. I guest the swedes have other thoughts and she is not that popular after all.
Madeleine - I thought she would be the favorite of many. 4% seems low. maybe because she lives in another country. She seems lovely but maybe the swedes would like her to work in Sweden like the rest of the family.
Chris - I honestly thought he would be a little bit popular to be honest. He's one of my favorite xD. He turn down royal titles and kept his job and provides for his family. good for him. I think he's really great for it. :)
18% saying that none of this ones are their favorite surprised me! Perhaps princess Christina is very popular. She does seem to be honest and friendly. I like her very much as well. :)

  2. Old photograph. The Crown Princess is pregnant Chris and Madeleine should have been the most popular royals in Sweden. People of Sweden don't have common sense!!!!!

    1. I like them. They have their own lives. I don't like the controversy, and just want to spend time with their children.

    2. Maybe you tell us kindly why? Princess Madeline who is seldom seen working and Chris who is mostly not working at all would in your oppinion be the most popular ones? Victoria is working very hard, has such a great way to handle with people and who has more sense of duty than what is healthy to her does not earn to be popular in your mind, why if I may ask.

    3. They should let us vote😜

    4. Chris and Madeleine? An US-american banker and his housewife?

    5. To Blondiini:
May I ask why Chris should work?? Christopher O'Neill remained a private citizen, he's not member of Swedish Royal Family, nor titled. He earns his own living. He has always appeared at the most important family events, e.g christenings, weddings, birthdays, etc, but otherwise he has his own work/commitments and its unfair to blame him for not working on behalf of royal family. Quite frankly it was wrong to put him in the list and compare him with the members of SRF!
As to CPss Victoria, then as the heir, future queen, its expected of her to have bigger work load that her siblings have. But the most hard-working royals have always been...The King and The Queen!

    6. KLarl K; I agree Chris should not be at the list at all. I have nothing agains him, but he could really never be a popular part of royal family when he does not want even to be a part of it and is working completely different career than doing royal work.

    7. Coralie, Chris isn't American. He has dual American and British citizenship.

    8. Yes, it was wrong to put Chris in the list as he is private citizen who choose to continue his career and be the one to support his family. But do really some people think he should have done royal work (although there are already so many full-time royals) and be another burden to taxpayers?

  3. No surprise that Victoria is so popular, she even gains a lot of popularity outside Sweden. I would have expected Silvia to be second place.

  5. I'm from England and I love all the members of The Royal Family. But I really love C/Princess Victoria and her Family, They are my favorite!!!!!

  6. I don't like this sort of survey at all. It is in a way quite childish and an unfair reflection of each member of the Royal Family -- pitting one against the other in a contest for "popularity". This sort of survey should not even be conducted in a grade school.

    1. I think they do this, not as a popularity contest, but to see if the monarchy continues to be popular.

    2. Agree its not a popularity contest. Just because some members are defended more than others doesn't mean that they should be more popular or whatever. Surveys like that are really stupid.

    3. Beverly is right. I don't like this kind of survey as well! Its like you have to pick your favorite child and deny all others...
The same with the royal family--each of them have different roles and you just can not compare ruling king to his son nor future queen vs. her younger sister!
Princess Madeleine works for the charity organisation and her role has gotten smaller because Sweden is just too small for 7-8 full-time working royals. So she had to establish herself elsewhere. But some people/press love to blame her and make her the black sheep of the family (while forgetting that she's in mother's leave, she's not the heir to the throne. As she (nor her husband!) does not get taxpayers money unless she works, then what is the problem?? Although its always so good to see Madeleine around and working, so I hope that she will have certain role in the SRF and we will see her more next year now that the kids are older).
And why add Chris to this list?? He does not have any titles, he's just married to a woman who is currently 6th in the line of succession.
And it seems unfair that Queen Silvia only got 2%...she works so much, even more than e.g Victoria or Daniel, but still not many people seem to notice her work...

    4. Marianne; if you have followed Madeline´s work before her marriage and family, it was mostly picking cherries, never doing any basic bread work. If she had basic appointments she had habit to get mostly flu and cancel her work. She is Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland, but her visits even there have been very very rare and those very few times she has been there she did not want to see any people or talk to media or answer any questions. I think many Swedesh think she lets them down. To me it is tolerable that she is not working as royal but it does of course mean that she cannot be any popular during Swedish people.

    5. This survey is not a popularity contest. They also asked if the king should abdicate (the answer was no) and if Carl Philip and adeleine should mantain apanage, the big majoiruty said they should not have apanage.so this is really to see if the monarchy is popular.:)

      Delete
    6. What should Madeleine get apanage for?

      Delete
    7. Blondiini: Madeleine did not want to see any people during her visits? Seriously? Did she really visit empty places? She has habit to cancel her work, never do any basic bread work? Hmm, are we talking about the same person?
I've been following swedish Royal Family since 2003 and, yes, she has canceled attendances now and then but so have all other members of the royal family. But hey, only Madeleine does that and no way her reasons were valid, so she's cherry picking and burden to taxpayers.
Haven't you thought that perhaps there's simply not enough work for so many full-time royals and some of them had to find their own path elswhere? Its not like Carl Philip, Sofia have duties every day, even the Crown Princes does not make public appearances every day. Or does she? And non of younger royals have so heavy work load like common people do!

      Delete
    8. I don't think that Princess Madeleine has ever been expected to carry out full load of work and why should she? Who is the future of the Swedish Monarchy? Victoria, Carl Philip or Madeleine? Yes, Crown Princess Victoria and her children. So the royal court needs to promote future queen Victoria and show that SHE is the best, SHE is the most hardworking and SHE is the most popular of them all!
Can Madeleine work more than her siblings? No, it has been and will always be a NO. Its been told numerous times that Madeleine won't get money unless she works. She has found her own way in life, she married Chris and works with the charity and takes care of her little family. Its her choice. Why should people condemn someone's right to make choices, I do not understand.

I think being the youngest has been a curse for Madeleine because she can NEVER outdo or outshine Victoria (the heir) and Carl Philip (who used to be the spare). Prince Carl Philip doesn't seem to work much nor his wife but people only question "what should Madeleine get apenage for?". Well, I am glad Madeleine has pulled her life together after that Jonas fiasco and seems to be truly happy with her life, marriage and motherhood.

I am not Swede but I sincerely like Madeleine and I think she has done good work at representing Sweden and the royal family (just like her sister). Princess Madeleine with her charisma and beauty is the reason why so many people started to take interest in Swedish Royal Family, so she has done something right by drawing attention to this small Scandinavian country. Be happy for the gems you have and don't throw them away. Please!

  7. I would have said Victoria if I was asked, no hard competition really. But I am surpriced that queen Silvia has so low points in this interview. Althoug people who like Silvia could have kept her second or third after her daughter.

I think most of that 18 % who said none of above are not supporting royal house at all.

  8. Apparently Queen Silvia is still in hospital for a heavy cold and dizziness. She was to be released and they decided to keep her again. Goodness ~
