King Jigme Namgyal Wangchuck, Queen Jetsun Pema and their young son Crown Prince Gyalsey and other members of the Royal Family celebrated the 109th National Day on December 17, 2016 in Trongsa. This is Prince Gyalsey's first National Day celebration. (Modern Bhutanese monarchy was established in 1907 by the Wangchuk family. Ugyen Wangchuk reunified the country and was unanimously chosen as the hereditary monarch of Bhutan. His coronation took place on December 17, 1907) |
A very cute little prince, a gorgeous queen and a handsome king. I love the Bhutanese traditional costumes, they are so colourful.
ReplyDeleteCrown Prince Gyalsey looks so happy and he's so cute!
ReplyDeleteNice velours .
ReplyDeleteIs Queen Jetson Pema pregnant?
ReplyDeleteVery attractive family and what gorgeous clothes!
ReplyDeleteSo cute family.
ReplyDeleteJetsun Pema is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Queen Jetsun is pregnant...
ReplyDeleteI would say no she is not pregnant, by looking at the first picture in this article on this site from December 6
ReplyDeleteQueen Jetsun Pema attended an event held for the disabled
The Prince's name is Jigme Namgyel, not "Gyalsey," which simply means "prince" in the Bhutanese language. The photo that is making people think the Gyaltsuen (queen consort) is pregnant looks to me like her boxy shirt is just positioned strangely.
