Yesterday, Clarence House Press Office published a new photo showing Queen Elizabeth and her inheritor Prince Charles together, which was taken in White Drawing Room in Windsor Castle before the last night of celebrations of 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth in May 2016.     Interesting photo. I saw elsewhere that the Queen was trying not to smile at a joke her son told her. I wish she had smiled.

    Beautiful picture but I wish the Queen would have smile a bit, Interesting to see that the crown princes born after him have become kings and he is still in waiting.

    As much as I love Her Majesty (grew up in Canada, a Commonwealth country), Charles will be a wonderful king and I welcome his ascent to the throne. He is a true humanitarian. I cannot imagine a worse public humiliation than what he was subjected to after the breakdown of his marriage, yet he has persevered and continues not only to love people but he spends his time and energy on helping others. His charities help thousands of people; his public appearances bring attention to so many causes. I admire him greatly.
