King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima of The Netherlands lay a wreath during a National Remembrance ceremony at the National Monument on Dam Square in Amsterdam on May 4, 2016. The ceremony is held annually and commemorates all civilians and members of the armed forces of the Kingdom of the Netherlands who have died in wars or peacekeeping missions since the outbreak of World War II.
