No, nude shoe is right. Short people should wear nude shoes so their legs look longer, everybody knows this. And black shoes to red dress? Y*es. som do, but nude are used mostly. Belly button...did you say that of her sisters in laws bellybuttons as we have seen too? This is normal for a pregnant women, and by the way we don't see Sofias.

Ah, Sofia is "normal"...she can act like you and me? Good to know. But I think, some alteration in your once "normal behavior" as a "commoner" should be inherent in the new HRH-system. This concerns style and dress codes for Sofia in her new ROLE as well.

I didn't notice Queen Silvia....I thought it would be Sofias Lady in waiting....maybe the red color of Sofias dress is too much "Look at me".... the prince looks annoyed.

I saw pictures of just Silvia, Carl Philip & Sofia, with Sofia dead center. You would think Sofia was queen was not Silvia. By putting Sofia front and center in reporting there is disrespect to royals more senior than Sofia, and that includes her husband.

    2. He doesn't look "annoyed". The bloom is not off the rose yet. Few "royals" or blue-blooded girls were available to him, and it wouldn't have done for him to marry one of the York sisters, because the whole lot, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, you name it, all eventually descend from old Victoria, the "grandmother of Europe". No wonder there was so much illness and so many genetic diseases in this inbred family.

If Sofia gives birth in March it's a honeymoon baby. If it's born this month February, full term, Sofia conceived in May 2015, before their wedding . Formally engaged or not, the slagging on this birth would be harsh. Shotgun wedding would be the more kinder things said.

    2. They sure were in a hurry to provide yet another kid in the family who is not needed for the throne! If I was C.P. and S., I would have enjoyed a couple of years of marital bliss before starting to pop out kids

    3. Anonymous20/2/16 12:02

I'm surprised they are having this baby now. In an interview before the wedding Carl Philip said he wanted to wait before starting a family.

2:59 do we have to mention Madeleines first pregnancy? And Lizzie it's up to each couple when we want to have kids. And you never now if you are gonna have problems conceiving. So why wait if you want to have kids and they are over 30 both of them. Everybody knows conceiving is getting harder after 30. They have enjoyed being a couple alone for many years. Do you really think they have kids for the throne!

    5. To Anonymous February 20 at 2:59AM. Madeleine was married in June.2013 & gave birth in Feb.2014, only eight months after the wedding. I didn’t see any harsh slagging on the birth. Does the harsh slagging only apply to Sofia?

Keep on doing your thing Sofia! Jealousy is a ugly mistress.

She looks beautiful. Her belly button is not showing. And so what if it was? Very hard to hide that as time goes by!
The Prince seems happy and not annoyed.

Such hate for this young woman. The family that you all say you love have embraced her. So should you! Or? Stop whining and just scroll by. No personal attacks! You ppl need to stop this crap!

Sofia is pretty huge for being due in two months. And that red dress needs darker shoes, you don't notice her legs at all, all you see is that red dress.

And what's with the current trend of all levels of royals holding hands. You didn't see that with the older ones (e.g. Elizabeth & Philip, Juan Carlos & Sofia, Carl Gustaf & Silvia). Now everyone does it. Trying to prove something?

    1. Anonymous20/2/16 15:41

You are complaining about holding hands? What is wrong with that? Are they not allowed? You are ridiculous.

Always someone has to find something to bitch about. Holding hands omg that is just so wrong...what ate they thinking? One must never show affection. ...we are above showing live to our mates.....are you bonkers?

They are proving that like us regular folks....we like affection. If none of them looked or touched one another you would be comparing that they are cold to each other.
      This is almost laughable...

    2. Anonymous20/2/16 21:56

Dear Anonymous February 20, 2016 at 5:41 PM - I asked what is it with the "current trend", it seems to be something the younger ones need to show us. I'm just saying that we didn't see it years ago with the royals. And, by the say, holding hands is not necessarily affection (it can be a "show", royal or not.

According to you I am not allowed to ask a simple question. And, by the way, I have made lots of favorable comments on New My Royals.

I'm not bitching, I'm just asking.

      Delete
    3. The older ones you mention have cheated on their wives many times, maybe the younger ones have learned not to be like them, and actually love and like toshow affection to their wives.

      Delete
    4. Anonymous21/2/16 09:50

They don't need to show it. They do because they love each other and have no problem showing it. Like the rest of the world do. You can't compare them to their parents who are people of their time, when love was not shown and never ever by royals. They should be in an other class then the rest of us. Just think back at the english royal house normal warmth and affection was never shown until Diana came in the family. They we're a house of tradition over centuries where feelings was not shown. No they do and especially the younger generation.

A little, kindly grammer-lesson to the blog owner. :)
When all the mentioned persons come from Sweden (the same place), it is enough to write it once. Instead of; "Queen Silvia of Sweden, Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and Princess Sofia of Sweden", you could just type:"Queen Silvia, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden".

  15. Yes I agree, her dress is too tight for pregnant woman. But it doesn't mean that she is ugly. This is positive input for her.

  16. Anonymous20/2/16 13:48

Idiotic comments. If Victoria wears a tight dress nothing is said about her very pregnant belly, but poor Princess Sofia. Nothing is right with her according to certain comments on this blog. She is blooming I must say looks much better than Victoria with her dark smoke voice.

3:21 You have to learn the different between hate and comparison. Just because someone comapres S with V, does NOT mean people hate V. The reason for comparison is that she is pregnant too and we have seen her in tight dresses with her bellybutton showing. And no one compalined! What does that say? What is OK for V is NOT ok by a long shot for Sofia!

Someone has got something totally wrong !
This event was not ment to be all focus on Sofia Hellqvist - Queen Silvia of Sweden was invited together with her son and daughter in law to bring the media-light on the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Art ! And for that someone more humble would have worn a more low-key-dress as Queen Silvia did for example, and as the same way Prince Daniel of Sweden dresses and behaves.

Not everything has to be every single time about SH who seem to be very horny about the media-light on herself ! The Royals are there to bring focus on the event they are invited to - NOT on themselves !

See and learn !!! To appear self-centred and behave like you believe that you are better than anyone else and therefore can behave as you like are not very nice sides of a persons character.

    ReplyDelete

    1. She, SH, has a knack for outshining everyone around her. She has not yet learnt that staying in the back ground, and not the forefront, would make her more palatable to many people. She is not the Queen, she is the newest member of the family and should know her place.

@Anonymous, Feb. 20, 7:20 pm & 10:33 pm - Sofia is the wife of the 4th in line to the throne. Victoria's 2nd baby is above both Carl Philip and Sofia in pre-eminence. There is protocol. There are too many instances where Sofia tries to get the spotlight, beside in what she wears at appearances. At Nicolas' christening Sofia was holding up the entrances of the royal family by taking time shaking hands with officials who were guests. She should have directly sat down and let the Crown Princess Family take their seats. It's rudeness like that is what irk some people about Sofia.

Completely agree - hopefully she will learn to show some respect for the title and her position (as a minor Royal) at some point. Not very hopeful though - once an attention seeker....

As for being so beautiful - doubt anyone her would pay her second thought without her title. She is average looking at best, although pregnancy suites her, softens her sharp features. Most beautiful woman ever... Laughing my head off!

Well 12:57 as someone who is not swedish who saw the christening...this has to be the worst comment I have read in a while. Sofia didn't do anything wrong. Hadn't she greeted you would have complained of who she think she is..so high and mighty! These kind of messages is normal from Sofia haters who look for thing that could be wrong. If she do you complaine, if she don't you complaine. Whatever she wears you complaine. Either it's to excpensive, two boring/ugly, to nice, she steals the spotlight..she can never win!

I think SH past is not in accordance with her new job. Sorry, but it doesn't fit. That's scandalous for a public job (as a rolemodel) and she is not at all a worthy representative with a HRH - title. Sorry to say this. The other women, except MM, had a impeccable past pre-royal. They are all credible as a rolemodel in a public job and with a HRH-titel.
