Privilege du blanc is in fact, a privilege, that should not be used lightly. The queens (and grand duchess) with this privilege usually reserve it for grand occasions. It's unlikely that Silvia will wear white in this kind of meeting

only catholic queens can wear white when meeting the pope. Swedish royals are from the protestant Church of Sweden so Queen Silvia is not allowed to wear white

you should check your facts first before you start talkin craps. we are not talking bullshit.

Privilège du blanc ("privilege of the white") is a French term used for a tradition whereby certain designated Catholic queens and princesses are permitted to wear a white dress and white mantilla during an audience with the Pope.[1] The Italian term is privilegio del bianco.

The Prefecture of the Pontifical Household sometimes issues special instructions when the privilege may be used, such as during papal audiences or masses at the beginning of a pope's reign.

Yes dear, white dress and white mantilla or veil is a reserved right for catholic queens.

the belgian royals are catholic and so as spanish royals, monaco princely family, and grand ducal family of luxembourg.

You know, it wont hurt you if you are going to check google. its a smart thing to do.

    5. Privilège du blanc is reserved for Catholic - reigning - queens and heads of state (such as the Grandduchess of Luxemburg and the Princess of Monaco). And yes, the Belgian royal family are fervent catholics (some say too fervent perhaps).

Why so rude? The Belgian royal family is indeed Roman Catholic and the explanation above is 100% correct.

  6. Good Protestant ladies visiting the pope? I am not impressed, they sure don't look like Lutherans. Silvia's mother was Catholic; so lots of Catholic influence in the Swedish royal family and more is incoming with Chris O'Neill.

And that photo of the pope and Leonore touching fingers - don't kid yourselves, that is supposed to remind us of Michelangelo's "Creation of Adam" painting and make us think that the pope is like God Himself. This whole episode is blasphemy.

Wow, really? Yeah, I always hate it when a pope and a baby plot and plan to reinact old paintings, that is just horrible. And that Leonore, up to her old tricks of wearing white to impersonate a Catholic, what is she going to do next?

I cant believe there are people in this world who thinks like you do. You are such a narrow minded asshole with big imagination! How can you accuse a child of plotting anything with the pope? Leonore is just a kid! Just because she wore white doesn't mean shes up to something.. Haven't it occurred to you that in her age she is not yet capable of dressing her self and maybe other adult decided to dress her in white. not because they are plotting something but because white is nicer to look at with children than black?!

Relax, I assume that anonymous 3.34 is being ironic against Rosalie. I actually smiled when I read it.
