Queen Máxima is undertaking a four-day official visit to Ghana. On the second day of her visit, Queen Máxima met with pineapple farmers and factory workers during visits to IDH, an organisation supporting sustainable agriculture, and HPW Fresh & Dry, a Ghanaian fruit-processing company. Financial health was at the heart of these engagements.
Queen Máxima also met with pineapple farmer Kweku Atta Apediego to learn more about his livelihood and financial well-being. Kweku has been farming for 22 years and has worked with HPW, a fruit-processing company, for the past 12 years. For the occasion, the Queen wore a white shirt and a denim skirt by the Indian fashion label Chorus.

Very pretty ensemble, well put together for this appearance, flat shoes and ponytail and all. Warm climate and no puff sleeves, I am a happy person.
ReplyDeleteA very nice outfit for this visit. Maxima looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteVery stylish and appropriate
ReplyDeleteLove love her outfit, very feminine
ReplyDeleteA lovely outfit. Shirt and skirt are perfect for the occasion and Queen Maxima looks fresh and engaged.
ReplyDeleteA loose shirt and A-line skirt is such a crisp, classic and comfortable combination for hot days! these shapes look great on Maxima (and many royals) and I love the fabulous embroidered detail.
ReplyDeleteHer ponytail and ballet flats are are great style choice, but alas these shoes are too narrow for her toes :(. I would also prefer to see much simpler accessories - the lovely needlework is visually rich and complex, and doesn't need such detailed earrings and bag, or the shiny belt buckle, like plain fabrics tend to do. A couple of years ago it has been introduced in fashion to wear and combine opposite styles like a very expensive bag with a jeans already worn and sneakers, a valuable watch or bracelet to finish the look. This is only an example. Other combinations are possible. The art is to combine "old and new", "expensive and cheap", "classic and avant-garde", etc... I think this is a bit what Queen Maxima is trying to do. Her outfit is a success anyway.
DeleteTenue rafraîchissante dont cette chemise aux broderies ajoutées !
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit, I would wear this! The skirt is very pretty, plenty of swish which a feature I prefer in a skirt and the bottom unusual but appealing design near the hem, not sure what it is, but looks very effective, I like this. The crisp white blouse perfect choice. Love her hair in a pony! tail.
ReplyDeleteWow, What a perfectly styled outfit, hairstyle, great earrings and shoes for a warm - climate visit. Maxima sets the bar high for others. No fussy, long florals, no outdated parasols, etc. Just well fitted, neat and well groomed to represent a country! That gorgeous blouse would make a wonderful re-wear.
ReplyDeleteShe is not there to represent a country. It is not an official visit to Ghana where she represents The Netherlands. On the Dutch website her visit to Ghana is described as a four day visit to respresent the UN in her capacity as special advocate (UNGSA). In this capacity she visit almost every year a country in Africa or Asia.
DeleteBlack is good colour.
ReplyDeleteGrow up 5:30. These repeated comments are tedious.
DeleteTrès joli style.
ReplyDeleteI like her white shirt and denim skirt both embroidered and cut out by hand (according the Dutch website). In my country we call this embroidery "broderie anglaise".
ReplyDeleteLove love love this outfit and I would wear it myself!
ReplyDeleteGreat look--excellent for the event outside in the heat and in the fields.
